| Tower combined diamond circular saw blade(also named combination saw)has been widely used in the cutting of granite blocks,and become the preferred sawing tool.The sawing performances of the tower combined saw blade was analyzed based on the structural features,including the load characteristics under the sawing conditions of the combination saw,the wear characteristics of diamond segments in the combination saw and the improved method of the sawing performance for the combination saw.The main contents are as follows:The theoretical analysis in the granite sawing by the combination saw was investigated.According to the analysis of the maximum undeformed chip thickness in grinding theory,load model of a combination saw was established,indicating the relationship between the maximum undeformed chip thickness,the load of single abrasive grain,the load of cutting arc zone and the change of diameter.The change of chip shape was discussed.The research demonstrate that the maximum undeformed chip thickness and the load per diamond,and the load in the sawing arc zone all decrease with increasing diameter of the single saw in the combination saw.With the increase of the diameter of the saw blade,the maximum undeformed chip shape of diamond particles is transformed from short and thick type to thin and long type.The experimental study was conducted for the force of saw blade in the granite sawing by tower combination saw.Sawing experiment of granite by the tower combination saw was designed and carried out.The process of granite sawing by the combination saw was analyzed,the effect of sawing parameters on force was investigated,and the sawing force of the single saw blade and the combination saw was compared.Investigation show that the sawing processing of rock sawing by the tower multi-blade combination saw consists of five stages.The sawing force of the single saw blade and the combination saw increases when the feed speed and the sawing depth increase,and the sawing horizontal force will change direction with increasing of sawing depth in the down-cutting state.When the sawing parameters are the same,the sum of the sawing force of the single saw blade is generally less than that of the combination saw,indicating a coupling effect between the single saws that affects decomposition and generation of forces in the multi-blade combination saw.The wear characteristics of segment and surface feature of rock in the circular saw blades with different diameters in combination saw are analyzed based on the force’s study of combination saw.The failure mechanism of diamond particles and wear mechanism of binder for circular saw blades with different diameters in combination saw were investigated,and the wear difference mechanism of the combination saw was revealed.The results show that wear discrepancy of segment of single saw blade with different diameters attribute to the load nonuniformity of diamond generated by diameters change of saw blade during rocks sawing by combination saw.When multi-blade combination saw is used to the rock sawing,the failure mechanism of the particles in the segment of the saw blade with different diameters is different.As the diameter of the single saw blade increases in the combination saw,the proportion of fresh,whole and blunt diamond particles in the segments increases,and the proportion of microfracture,macro-fracture and pulled-out diamond particles decreases.The influence of different types of the segments on the sawing performances of the circular saw blades are analyzed based on the sawing force and segment’s wear in the combination saw.The improvement method of the sawing performance for multi-blade combination saw was discussed.The results show that increasing the particles concentration and the segment number of saw blades can reduce the maximum undeformed chip thickness and the force of the particles.When designing the combination saw,it can be considered to change the segment number of saw blades with different diameters to improve the wear difference of the saw blades.The way that the small-diameter saw blade in the combination saw adopts the segments composed of high concentration diamond and metal body with strong retention ability can be also considered.This study will enrich and expand the exploration on the force and segment’s wear of the combination saw in the process of rock sawing,support a foundation for the investigation and innovation of new combination saw,and promote the application of the combination saw. |
