| With the continuous development of the economy,the government puts more and more attention on the environmental protection,and the total amount of environmental protection investment in our country is also increasing.However,at present,China’s environmental protection investment presents the characteristics of low investment scale and low investment efficiency.At the same time,the main body of environmental protection investment is held by the government,and listed companies,as the main producers of environmental pollution,have not assumed the corresponding environmental protection responsibilities.Therefore,this paper selects Conch Cement,the leading enterprise in cement industry,as the object of this study,hoping to give some advice to other environmental sensitivity enterprises by studying Conch Cement’s specific environmental protection investment,to improve the enthusiasm of listed companies to invest in environmental protection,to improve China’s current environmental investment situation.Firstly,the paper combs the literature related to environmental protection investment and the laws and regulations related to environmental protection in China.On this basis,the present situation of environmental protection investment of environmental sensitive enterprises in China are analyzed to provide the basis for the elaboration of the case.Secondly,this paper introduces several major environmental protection investment projects of Conch Cement in recent years,and analyzes the motivation of environmental protection investment of Conch Cement from objective and subjective perspectives.Thirdly,based on the major environmental protection investment project of Conch Cement,this paper analyses and expounds the investment behavior model and investment strategy in detail.Finally,this paper uses qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis,from the perspective of brand,market,finance,society and innovation,to make a comprehensive and objective analysis of the impact of Conch Cement environmental protection investment on its enterprises,drawing the corresponding conclusions,giving relevant suggestions.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1)The environmental protection investment of Conch Cement is mainly to reduce cost and increase efficiency,gain reputation resources and tax incentives,and its own government background will make it respond positively to national development strategy and abide by environmental regulations;(2)To realize circular economy,Conch Cement invested in environmental protection by means of technological innovation and intelligent information construction;The environmental protection investment of Conch Cement mainly focuses on the production process.With the support of environmental protection technology,Conch Cement can reduce,dispose and utilize pollutants in the production process;(3)Environmental protection investment has a positive effect on the financial performance of enterprises;(4)Environmental protection investment can effectively improve the social performance and environmental performance of enterprises. |
