The Research On Measurement Tools Of Traditional Small Carpentry Craft

This thesis takes measurement tools of traditional small carpentry as the research object.Uses methods such as literature research,field surveys,inductive analysis,and computer-aided design,the evolution of measurement tools of traditional small carpentry,the development law,the art of creation,and process technology After comprehensive analysis and research,and from the perspective of using measuring tools,the typical cases of Ming and Qing furniture were selected for analysis,so that we have a comprehensive understanding of measuring tools.With the development of industrialization,traditional woodworking tools are gradually being used by mechanical tools.It is replaced,however,the excellent traditional culture should be passed down.The warmth of hand tools cannot be replaced by cold equipment.Therefore,the research and protection of this part of cultural heritage is very necessary and has profound significance.(1)According to the excavation of measuring tools in various periods and the corresponding literature records,the evolution of measurement tools of traditional small carpentry is summarized as:the gestation period of the Stone Age;the budding period of the Bronze Age;the development period of the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Period to the Wei,Jin,and Northern and Southern Dynasties.The maturity period of the Sui and Tang Dynasties to the Song and Yuan dynasties and the heyday of the Ming and Qing dynasties.In general,the evolution of measuring tools is coherent and inherited.(2)A comprehensive analysis and research of the creation art of measuring tools,that is,the classification,shape,function,production,material selection,and decorative art of the tools.According to the different processes,the measurement tools of traditional small carpentry are divided into measuring tools and scribing tools.It is the innovation in the art of creation that is driving the prosperity and development of measuring tools.(3)Based on the historical inheritance of measuring tools,a summary and analysis of the measurement tools of traditional small carpentry technology,that is,the use of tools,calibration and repair,line proverbs,symbols,know-how,precautions and process principles,Clarified the important factors and standards for testing the carpenter’s ability,that is,the carpenter’s mastery of tool operation technology and process principles.(4)A typical case of small carpentry is selected,and a summary analysis is made from the perspective of the use of measuring tools and scribing tools.It is found that due to the difference in structure,technology,materials and specifications,the measurement and scribing method of small wooden works will be carried out.Flexible and innovative,and the classic case of traditional small carpentry has become the treasure of national art,and can not be separated from the credit of measurement tools.Through analysis and discussion,this paper first clearly reproduces the evolution of measurement tools of traditional small carpentry,and secondly,it builds a complete system of measuring tool technology,and adds more comprehensive and objective perspectives to measurement tools of traditional small carpentry.The understanding and understanding of measuring tools.It has certain reference value to the technical aspects of inheritance and protection of traditional small carpentry.
