The United Nations Development Summit in 2015 approved the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, which put forward 17 Sustainable Development Goals(Sustainability Development Goals, hereinafter referred to as SDGs)related to economy, environment, and society, and called on member states to develop geographic information-based Dynamic monitoring and comprehensive evaluation.SDGs have complex giant system characteristics and significant temporal and spatial characteristics. How to build a scientific, efficient, standardized and unified spatial monitoring system is the current international frontier and hot spot. This paper draws on the idea of constructing a corresponding monitoring system based on basic variables proposed in the fields of climate, ocean, and biodiversity, combines the geospatial perspective with the basic variable idea, and analyzes the interrelationship between SDGs indicators and geographic information based on the SDGs samples of China’s Deqing And the transformation process, the SDGs spatial variable network is generated;the principles of importance, completeness and efficiency of basic variables are put forward, and with the help of social network analysis methods,a set of basic geographic information variables(Essential Geo-information)that can reflect the spatio-temporal characteristics of SDGs is condensed.-Information Variables, hereinafter referred to as EGIV);using EGIV to automatically extract models and algorithms, build a SDGs index quantitative calculation system, and realize the automatic quantitative calculation of spatial index results from EGIV to SDGs.The results will deepen the understanding of the basic issues and mechanisms related to SDGs spatial monitoring, and provide new ideas and new methods for building a scientific, effective, standardized and unified SDGs spatial monitoring system. The main research results of this article are as follows:(1)Constructing a spatial variable network of SDGs: Based on the UN SDGs indicator framework and corresponding indicator metadata, and referring to the comprehensive evaluation results of China(Deqing)SDGs,this paper deeply analyzes the definition, connotation, and quantitative calculation process of SDGs,and sorts out 16 Item is a spatial index related to geographic information, and the SDGs spatial variable directed relational network method based on "network node" and "directed connection" is proposed, and the SDGs variables in the quantitative calculation of each index(such as initial data, intermediate results),Index results)As a network node, the transformation direction between variables, the calculation process, and the used model are used as the directed connection between nodes in the network. After node simplification, statistical node removal and other operations, the final SDGs spatial variable network is formed.(2)Extracted EGIV reflecting the spatio-temporal characteristics of SDGs: using the(1)centrality algorithm and(2)HITS algorithm in the social network key node identification algorithm to quantitatively describe the importance of each variable in the SDGs spatial variable network, comprehensively considering the importance of basic variables,Completeness and efficiency(minimum redundancy)features, screening out 20 EGIVs,including 8 EGIVs for surface coverage,9 EGIVs for basic geographic information(such as road networks, boundary areas, infrastructure points, etc.),and other EGIVs 3(DEM,population density, vegetation net primary productivity). There are 2 reflection types and proportions in the basic variables of land cover(surface cover type, vegetation coverage),and 5 patterns and intensity(land use intensity, effective wetland patch area, landscape structure index, habitat quality index),process 1 with evolution(change rate of land cover area).(3)Realize the quantitative calculation of SDGs indicators based on EGIV: This paper uses some models(such as POK(pixel-object-knowledge)classification algorithm, land cover change detection based on the spectral periodic characteristics of ground objects, etc.)to realize the Three types of EGIV extraction.According to the position of SDGs and EGIV in the SDGs variable network, analyze the shortest directional process from EGIV to SDGs and the conversion method or model between nodes, and finally realize the quantitative calculation of various SDGs.Finally,on the basis of the SDGs variable network, using EGIV as the main input data,a prototype system of SDGs quantitative calculation was built using Web GIS technology. The automatic calculation of 16 indicators related to geographic information in SDGs has been realized.
