In recent years,Terahertz(THz)has become an important wireless data center candidate technology due to its extremely high throughput rate and ultra-low transmission delay.Deploying terahertz networks in data centers can help enhance the scalability of data centers in the face of dynamically growing data traffic.At present,the relevant research on terahertz communication at home and abroad has been relatively sufficient,but the research on terahertz networking is still in its infancy.Due to the unique physical characteristics of the terahertz band,designing a MAC protocol suitable for terahertz networks mainly faces the following challenges: 1)The current protocol channel utilization is low;2)The current protocol data transmission success rate is low.Based on the above problems,this paper focuses on the deployment of terahertz high-speed wireless networks in data centers based on the characteristics of terahertz propagation attenuation,and conducts research and experimental analysis on a number of key methods from the aspects of effectively improving channel utilization and data transmission success rate.The main contributions of this paper are as follows:First,in view of the problems of low channel utilization and insufficient quality of service guarantee methods in the MAC protocol of terahertz networking,this paper proposes a wireless data center-oriented terahertz network based on the characteristics of terahertz propagation attenuation.network architecture.Efficient node discovery and handover can be achieved through the mechanism of directional antenna stall state switching.Second,in view of the problem of low channel utilization in terahertz networks,a MAC protocol HCU-MAC based on two-way handshake is proposed.The two-way handshake controls the stop of the node’s directional antenna to complete data exchange,reducing the risk of antenna idling.The channel resources are wasted and the channel utilization is improved.Third,in view of the low success rate of terahertz network data transmission,a MAC protocol HTS-MAC based on one-way handshake is proposed.The receiver initiates communication and allocates channels according to the transmission request of each sender,which effectively reduces the The collision and packet loss in the communication process are avoided,and the success rate of data transmission is improved.We have implemented and verified the proposed scheme on the NS3 platform.The simulation results show that the channel utilization rate of HCU-MAC can reach more than80%,and the data transmission success rate of HTS-MAC is basically stable at 100%.
