The rapid development of low-power integrated circuits, wirelss communication, intelligent sensors and microelectronics has allowed the realization of wireless body area networks(WBANs),which can monitor the vital body paramenters of patients remotely in real time to offer timely treatment. These vital body parameters are related to the life and health of patients;and these highly private data are subject to many security threats. To guarantee privacy and security of patients, many secure communication protocols have been proposed. However, most of these protocols have a one-to-one structure in extra-body communication, which means that each patient can only be treated by one physician;and cannot support multidisciplinary team(MDT)treatment. In addition,Due to the resource-constrained environment of WBANs,most of proposed communication protocols are not suitable for WBANs.Hence,we proposed the corresponding solutions to the mentined problems in this paper, which are shown as follows:1)A novel efficient multi-receiver certificateless generalized signcryption scheme. In this paper,a novel efficient multi-receiver certificatelss generalized signcryption(MRCLGSC)scheme is proposed. The proposed MR-CLGSC scheme uses point multiplication in elliptic curves and has no bilinear pairing and exponential operations, which effectively reduces computational overhead. In addition,it can adaptively uses only one algorithm to implement one of three cryptographic primitives: signature, encryption or signcryption according to the environment requirements, thus it greatly reduces the complexity of the algorithm and improves the efficiency of the algorithm.MR-CLGSC shceme is proved to realize confidentiality and unforgeability under the intractable problems of ECDLP and CDHP in a random oracle model.2)A lightweight and certificateless multi-receiver secure data transmission protocol. In this paper,a lightweight and certificateless multi-receiver(LCMR)secure data transmission protocol based on the MR-CLGSC scheme is proposed. As far as we know,it is the first time that a multidisciplinary treatment using a remote data transmission protocol for WBANs is considered.Furthermore, the proposed LCMR protocol achieves many security properties, such as data integrity and confidentiality,non-repudiation,anonymity,forward and backward secrecy, unlinkability and data freshness.Note that both security analysis and performance analysis show that the proposed protocol for WBANs is secure, efficient and highly practical.
