Research On The Disaster Report Of "7-20 Henan Rainstorm" In Henan Daily From The Perspective Of Constructive Journalism

With the development of industrial society,human beings have gradually entered a modern risk society.Accidents and disasters,which have been transformed from risks,appear more frequently in China,posing a serious threat to national security and the lives and property of citizens.In the face of media disaster reporting practices that tend to pursue sensationalism,dramatization,and negative consequences,constructive news advocates that the media awaken positive emotions among the public,create possibilities for dialogue and cooperation towards the future,and participate as a force in social construction.This has guiding significance for the transformation and practice of media disaster reporting.This paper selects the relevant written reports of "July 20 rainstorm Rainstorm" by Henan Daily and its main platforms as the research object,takes the four value orientations of constructive journalism proposed by Gyldensted as the research framework,and uses content analysis and text analysis to investigate the news practice of local media from the perspective of constructive journalism.Research has found that in action orientation,the changes in the number of reports on various platforms are closely related to the urgency of flood situations,and Weibo and APP can more quickly provide emergency warning and reporting on disaster events;The overall content mainly focuses on topics such as "disaster relief operations","post disaster recovery",and "character stories",with a focus on positive emotions.In public orientation,reports from various platforms involve different sources,with a relatively high proportion of official public interactions.However,the focus is still on showcasing official actions,with official sources being the main focus.In the future orientation,news is the main reporting genre.The Newsletter supplements the details of disaster relief,focuses on the current events,tracks the current situation and expresses the future vision,and makes good use of the news background to let readers return to the rainstorm scene to feel the real situation and fully mobilize their emotions.In the solution orientation,the solutions covered in relevant reports focus on post disaster reconstruction and are more inclined to adopt effective solutions,with a focus on combining "actions" and "achievements".From the perspective of constructive news,there are still some shortcomings in this reporting practice,mainly focusing on the heavy publicity color,less reflection on issues,and a lack of attention to public actions.Based on this,media disaster reporting should clarify the "constructive" core,adhere to the unity of public opinion supervision and positive publicity,reflect on negative elements as deeply as possible and extend the topic to the public domain,promote collaborative creation between the media and the public,and enhance the constructive role of the media in disasters.In practical operation,this article combines the research of scholars and the actual situation to develop category indicators,which have certain subjective factors and have not yet included diversified reporting forms,which has certain limitations.I hope to construct a more scientific and constructive news evaluation framework in future research,pay attention to the reporting forms in the new media era,further explore the presentation methods and reporting characteristics of constructive elements in disaster news,and promote the true participation of the media in social construction.
