Study On The Impact Of Environmental Responsibility Fulfillment On Zijin Mining’s Performance

Environmental responsibility requires enterprises to actively adopt advanced cleaner production technology and less waste and no waste technology to conduct green production and implement environmental protection management while doing well in ecological environment protection according to laws and regulations in production and operation activities.As China’s economic development has entered a new normal,the concept of sustainable development has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people,and corporate environmental responsibility has received more and more attention from all sectors of society.Enterprises are aware of the sustainable and healthy development of enterprises,and should actively fulfill corporate environmental responsibility and realize the social public interests.Due to the late start of the research on environmental responsibility in China,further in-depth research is needed on how environmental responsibility affects corporate performance.This paper mainly uses case study method to analyze the impact of Zijin Mining’s environmental responsibility performance on its performance by taking Zijin Mining as the research object,and puts forward optimization suggestions to improve the level of environmental responsibility performance.First of all,this paper summarizes the relevant literature,concepts and theoretical basis of environmental responsibility,and analyzes the status quo and achievements of Zijin Mining’s environmental responsibility implementation.Secondly,on the basis of the impact mechanism,the paper analyzes the path that Zijin Mining’s environmental responsibility performance affects the enterprise’s performance.Zijin Mining mainly affects the enterprise’s performance by reducing energy consumption,developing circular economy,promoting technological innovation,and winning social recognition After improving the comprehensive utilization rate of raw materials and other environmental protection measures,Zijin Mining has significantly improved the level of environmental responsibility performance,and has been rewarded with reducing operating costs,increasing economic benefits,winning competitive advantages and improving corporate reputation.Thirdly,on the basis of the impact path,from the perspective of corporate environmental responsibility,select comprehensive performance evaluation indicators,carry out weight calculation through the objective entropy weight method,and analyze the impact of environmental responsibility performance on corporate performance based on the final comprehensive performance score and sub item score,to support the research conclusion: actively fulfilling environmental responsibility will reduce corporate financial performance due to the increase of environmental protection costs in the short term,In the long run,environmental protection costs can be transformed into ecological and economic benefits,thereby comprehensively improving enterprise performance.Zijin Mining,as a leading enterprise in the nonferrous metal industry,its environmental responsibility performance has a representative impact on corporate performance,which can enrich the research field of corporate environmental responsibility.The paths and measures taken by Zijin Mining in the process of fulfilling its environmental responsibility are of reference significance,and can bring referential experience for the same industry to improve the level of fulfilling its environmental responsibility.
