The rapid development of expressways has enhanced the connection and communication between cities, which has led to the expansion of urban areas and has a significant impact on the spatial development of urban agglomerations. In order to analyze the degree of influence of expressways on the spatial development of urban agglomerations, this paper studies the evolution mechanism of the spatial layout of urban agglomerations guided by expressway networks. Most of the previous studies were conducted from the perspective of urban land use or industrial layout, without considering the impact of urban land layout and economic development comprehensively. Therefore, this paper constructs a coupled coordination model from the perspective of land layout of urban agglomerations and regional economic development, and uses exploratory spatial data analysis and gray correlation analysis to dissect the influence mechanism of highway network on the evolution of spatial layout of urban agglomerations from the perspective of time and space.First of all,the remote sensing image data are analyzed by combining the random forest model and Markov matrix to derive the land use type and land use transfer matrix.Based on the land use,the building land with the highest growth rate is analyzed in detail, and variable weights are assigned to POI of different types and at different classification scales to accurately identify urban functional areas. The Shannon Shannon information entropy is used to determine the homogeneity of land use,and the gravitational model is used to derive the intensity of urban regional linkage and further analyze the variability of urban spatial linkage intensity.Secondly, the mechanism model of spatial layout evolution of urban clusters guided by highway network is established.Relevant indicators of urban land use layout and regional economic development are selected to characterize the spatial development of urban agglomerations, and the weights of relevant indicators are determined by using principal component analysis to construct a coupling coordination degree model, and a spatio-temporal evolution mechanism model is constructed based on exploratory spatial data analysis and gray correlation analysis to further analyze the mechanism of spatial layout evolution of urban agglomerations by highway networks. Finally, the spatial layout evolution mechanism of urban agglomerations guided by highway networks is demonstrated by examples. The coupled and coordinated development of expressway network with urban land layout and regional economic development is analyzed by taking Ji-Tai integrated region of Shandong capital economic city cluster as an example, and the mechanism of spatial layout evolution of urban clusters guided by expressway network is derived from the perspective of spatial interaction and temporal association of urban clusters. The results are as followed:(1)Analyzed from the perspective of spatial aggregation, the expressway network presents a significantly correlated positive spatial correlation with urban land layout and regional economic development on the whole, showing the characteristics of overall dispersion and aggregated distribution along the expressway network.(2)Analyzed from the perspective of temporal correlation, the highway network has the highest correlation with urban land layout with strong correlation;the correlation between the highway network and regional economy also has an increasing trend, indicating the significant influence of the highway network on the spatial layout of cities. |
