| This paper takes domestic nature museums as the main research object, and compares the situation of domestic nature museums’ activities in schools in the past ten years from the perspective of the region where the museums are located, the school sections involved in the activities, and the time of the activities.Based on the form and mode, the study analyses and summarises the problems of the school activities of nature museums in China, and then tries to propose corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for improvement. In reality, although nature museums are able to benefit from their activities on campus, the extent of their benefits is still limited by the problems that hinder the further development of such activities. This paper attempts to analyse the problems faced by museums in schools from three perspectives: the lack of digitalisation in nature museums, the serious disconnect between some activities and school education, and the immaturity of the evaluation system for school-based activities. All three of these problems have limited the development of nature museum-led educational activities. This paper draws on examples of school-based activities organised by nature museums in China and abroad, such as the American Museum of History and Nature, the Shanghai Nature Museum and the Beijing Nature Museum. The three concepts of "relying on the curriculum of school education" and "improving the evaluation mechanism of activities" are the core solutions to strengthen the depth and breadth of nature museums’ activities in schools,in an attempt to break through the bottleneck of museums’ own development and create a quality external environment for the transformation of school education. |
