Research On The Measurement And Influencing Factors Of High-quality Economic Development In The Western Region

Promoting the high-quality development of China’s economy at this stage is not only a realistic choice to break through the bottleneck of China’s economic development,but also an inevitable requirement for solving the main contradictions in Chinese society in the new era.Highquality development is the primary task of building a modern socialist country in an all-round way.However,in the process of rapid economic development in the western region,some mismatches have been created with the new requirements of "innovation,coordination,green,openness and sharing" with high-quality development.In the new stage of economic development,how to overcome the geographical disadvantages brought about by the natural geographical environment,balance economic and social development and ecological protection,explore new development paths,liberate development potential,and ultimately enable the western region to achieve high-quality economic development is a problem that all localities in the western region must face.Through the construction of high-quality economic indicators and the analysis of influencing factors in the western region,the research of this paper will help to increase the research and application of the theory of endogenous economic growth in western China,and have certain reference value for the study of the index system of high-quality economic development in other regions with low development level,and provide certain help for the high-quality development of the western economy.This paper focuses on the index system of high-quality economic development of the western region and its influencing factors,and puts forward suggestions for the high-quality economic development of the western region by constructing the index system for high-quality economic development of the western region and obtaining the correlation between a series of influencing factors and high-quality economic development indicators.This paper first sorts out the connotation of high-quality economic development,the construction of index system and the literature of influencing factors.It then discusses the relevant concepts and theoretical foundations of this paper.Then,from the six dimensions of "innovation,coordination,green,openness,sharing and economic growth",the index system of high-quality economic development was constructed,and the high-quality economic development index of 12 provincial regions in western China from 2001 to 2020 was measured using the entropy weight method.Secondly,this paper explores the influencing factors of high-quality economic development through the improvement of environmental protection,the development of inclusive finance,the development of innovation ability,the development of education level,the growth of financial support and the increase of road construction.The method of quantile regression is used to calculate the differences in influencing factors under different high-quality economic development indicators.The conclusions obtained are as follows: First,the level of highquality economic development in the western regions is uneven,most of them are growing,but the gap is widening.Second,there are complex influencing factors for the high-quality development of the western economy,there are many influencing factors of the western economy,and they are related to the impact of economic growth rate,and some economic growth factors can also significantly affect high-quality economic development,while some influencing factors also have certain differences.According to the research on the influencing factors and the conclusions of this paper,more targeted countermeasures for the highquality economic development of the western region are proposed: the western region should appropriately increase environmental input;Activate their development potential and reduce their dependence on financial resources;Pay attention to the power of road construction and increase investment in education and scientific research.
