Since the 20 th century,Since the 20 th century,the importance of science and technology to social development has gradually emerged,and various countries have begun to attach importance to the development of science and technology,especially the innovation and autonomy of scientific development.The concept of "pragmatic view of science" has gradually entered the public’s field of vision.But as far as the nature of science is concerned,there are still many disputes in philosophical circles.In such a diversified philosophical background,pragmatism came into being under the influence of classical pragmatism and logical positivism.Susan Hack put forward her own idea of new pragmatism scientific view after getting acquainted with the research on pragmatism by Rorty,Quine,James,Dewey and others.Susan Hack’s view of science is mainly derived from the thought of pragmatism,as well as the questioning and reflection on metaphysical issues.Under the influence and impetus of previous pragmatism thoughts,Huck believes that the logic in the existing pragmatism view of science is not correct,and some of its contents can be further revised and improved.One of the key points of Huck’s research on this new pragmatic view of science is the elaboration and analysis of the view of science.The research of this paper mainly focuses on Susan Hack’s new pragmatism view of science,and tries to better explain the main ideas and viewpoints of Susan Hack’s new pragmatism view of science through sorting out and understanding in many aspects.Susan Harker’s New Pragmatism View of Science is a view of philosophy of science that focuses on the interaction between science and society.She believes that the results of scientific research are closely related to the experience,culture and social background of scientists,and are not a reflection of objective truth.She thus emphasizes the social context of scientific practice,including factors such as the power and interests of scientific institutions,and the experience and cultural background of scientists,which influence the direction,content,and conclusions of scientific research.Huck believes that we cannot regard scientific theories as objective truths that transcend society,but should regard them as the product of people’s thinking and actions in a specific social context.This paper first sorts out the relevant literature research results at home and abroad,thus forming a corresponding review and report,and conducts a comprehensive analysis and interpretation of the existing domestic and foreign research results,clarifies the main ideas of this research,and further elaborates What is new pragmatism.After that,this paper systematically sorts out the main content of Susan Hack’s new pragmatism view of science,mainly including: scientism and its criticism,neo-cynicism and its criticism,philosophical foundation: critique of commonsense doctrine and its foundation A coherent theory of cognitive justification and a new pragmatic view of science as a third way.Secondly,the article compares Susan Harker’s new pragmatic view of science with other philosophers’ philosophy of science,mainly including: comparison with Richard Rorty,comparison with Putnam,and comparison with Brandon Compare.Finally,the main significance of the existence of Susan Hacker’s new pragmatism view of science is put forward to effectively break the admiration attitude towards science,and at the same time promote the active communication between the new pragmatism view of science and the tradition of humanism.Susan Hack’s proposition has had a great impact on the new pragmatism view of science,and has made considerable contributions to the research and application of this theory.This study strives to provide some reference and reference for the research and in-depth study of Susan Hack’s academic views.
