With the development of social productivity and economic globalisation, the idea of collaboration has permeated the whole human society, and collaborative systems have emerged to support human collaborative activities. In recent years, situational awareness theory has gained more and more attention in the study of collaborative systems, and researchers expect that situational awareness theory will enable collaborative systems to better understand users’ intentions and make them more intelligent. At the same time, the application of traditional situational awareness theory to collaboration has its inherent limitations:it focuses on perception, understanding and prediction of situations, and to a certain extent covers the elements of the collaborative process, but ignores the dynamic role of group members based on mixed motivations and fails to balance the deeper value intentions of group members in the collaborative process. This study incorporates human motivation and value intention into the process of situational awareness based on active-passive situational awareness theory, aiming to meet the deeper synergistic needs of people in the synergistic system. This study consists of two main parts. In the first part, the study takes the collaborative behaviour in the system as the starting point, and focuses on the conflict problem caused by people’s different motivations in the meal collaboration scenario.A multi-factor completely randomised design was used to simulate a meal based on a self-designed meal simulation platform, and each influencing factor was measured and recorded. The study then classifies the active and passive situational awareness behaviours in a two-person meal situation according to the connotation of active and passive situational awareness, and specifies the specific measurement indicators. On the basis of this, the subordination matrix was constructed to quantify the perceived levels of active and passive situational awareness in the meal situation by modelling the perceived levels of active and passive situational awareness of each sample.Subsequently, the correlation analysis between each influencing factor and the perceived level of active-passive situational awareness was conducted to demonstrate the trend of correlation between the three influencing factors and the level of active-passive posture. Finally, through multiple regression analysis,a multiple linear regression model of the influencing factors of active-passive posture perception was developed. In the second part, the article constructs an application example of a collaborative recommendation system for meal meetings based on the active-passive situational awareness model.Firstly,in order to make the measure of active-passive situational awareness more relevant to practical applications,a relatively simple active-passive situational awareness scale is derived through correlation analysis and exploratory factor analysis.Secondly,a collaborative recommendation system based on active-passive situational awareness is constructed by incorporating active-passive situational awareness metrics into an aggregation algorithm and subjects are recruited again to conduct experiments to test the reliability of the active-passive situational awareness model and the related scale.A withinsubjects design was used to test the recommendation satisfaction and synergy satisfaction of the system using group satisfaction and the proportion of low-satisfaction groups.Through controlled experiments,it was demonstrated that the recommendation system based on active and passive situational awareness has significantly higher recommendation satisfaction than the general collaborative recommendation system using the average aggregation scheme and CRITIC weighted aggregation scheme. This confirms the reliability of the theoretical model and measurement method proposed in this paper, and also demonstrates that the collaborative dining system designed in this paper can better meet the deeper collaborative needs of both parties in the collaborative task, and provides ideas for subsequent collaborative recommendation system exploration. It is of strong theoretical and practical value.
