Abstract/Summary:
The practical traffic network is complicated and uncertain(such as the uncertainty of road capacity).Meanwhile, travelers’ route choice decision in the uncertain traffic network is affected by multiple attributes, such as travel time, travel cost and travel time reliability. In addition, affected by complex traffic environment or their own cognitive ability, travelers’ perception of multiple attributes has errors, which also leads to uncertainty. In this article, under the influence of the double uncertainty(i.e.,the uncertainty of real traffic network and the uncertainty caused by travelers’ perception error),a target-oriented analysis method is used to investigate travelers’ route choice behavior, where the target-oriented analysis can be used to model travelers’ behavioral characteristics of acceptable travel time or acceptable travel cost. This feature is also confirmed by empirical research. The specific research contents are as follows:In this paper,a target-oriented bi-attribute(travel time and travel time reliability)route utility model with double uncertainties is proposed, which can be used to analyze the route choice decision-making behavior of travelers considering double attributes on the stochastic traffic network,in which the achieved targets determine the route utility.Based on this, the proposed route utility model has the following characteristics: first,it is assumed that all travelers have perceptual errors,so as to model the perceived values of travel time and travel time reliability;Second, based on the marginal distribution of perceived values,two-dimensional Gaussian Copula function is used to describe the stochastic correlation between travel time and travel time reliability considering perceived errors;Third,it is assumed that each traveler will assign specific targets for travel time and travel time reliability, and based on this, the interaction between travel time and travel time reliability is proposed, that is,the complementary relationship between them.Based on the target-oriented bi-attribute route utility model with double uncertainties proposed above, this paper further proposes a target-oriented bi-attribute user equilibrium model with double uncertainties.Variational inequality problem is used to describe the model and method of successive average is used to solve the model. Finally, numerical experiments are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the travel performance of travelers under different decision behaviors and the effectiveness of method of successive average in the model. Moreover, the sensitivity analysis of relevant parameters is carried out.The results show that the equilibrium flow and equilibrium utility differ greatly under different travel behaviors. Therefore, the influence of travelers’ travel behavior should be considered when formulating relevant policies of traffic network. With the previous research, this paper further expands the research scope of traveler’s route decision-making behavior and user equilibrium, which is the theoretical contribution of this paper. In practice, this study can provide some scientific support for the planning and designing of the real traffic network, and help to achieve the sustainable development of the traffic system.
