In recent years,China’s treatment of air pollution has achieved initial results, and the overall atmospheric environment shows a good trend, but the problem of air pollution in some regions is still prominent, especially the haze pollution in the urban agglomeration of the Yangtze River Delta. The Yangtze River Delta has become an important engine of China’s economic and social development by virtue of its location, but the environmental quality of some cities does not yet match the level of economic and social development, among which regional air pollution characterized by PM2.5is particularly serious, not only in terms of strong spatial transmission force but also in terms of various causes. In order to improve the atmospheric environmental quality of urban agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta and promote the construction of green and beautiful Yangtze River Delta, studying the socio-economic influencing factors of haze pollution in urban agglomera-tion in the Yangtze River Delta from a spatial perspective has important theoretical and practical significance for exploring the fundamental causes of haze pollution and precise prevention and control.Firstly, the spatial correlation test of haze pollution(average annual concentration of PM2.5)in Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration from 2005 to 2019 is carried out.Secondly, based on the results of spatial correlation test of haze pollution and the en-vironmental Kuznets curve(EKC),a spatial panel econometric model is constructed to empirically analyze the socio-economic influencing factors of haze pollution. Finally, the spatial heterogeneity and temporal evolution of socio-economic factors affecting haze pollution are discussed by using geographical weighted regression model. The research shows that:(1)there is an obvious positive correlation and agglomera-tion characteristics in the space of haze pollution in the urban agglomeration of the Yangtze River Delta.Among them, the number of cities with high-high(H-H)aggregation type of haze pollution is the largest and mainly concentrated in the northwest and central re-gions,and the cities with low-low(L-L)aggregation type are mainly concentrated in the southwest and Southeast.(2)The haze pollution of urban agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta has obvious spatial spillover effect and time lag.(3)The relationship between economic growth and haze pollution in local and neighboring cities is a non-linear one, with a”U”curve relationship.(4)The upgrading of industrial structure, rationalization of industrial structure, industrial enterprise size and financial expenditure are negatively correlated with local haze pollution?other factors are positively correlated with local haze pollution.(5)The upgrading of industrial structure, population density, number of cars and financial expenditure are negatively correlated with the haze pollution in neighboring cities?the foreign direct investment and industrial enterprise size are positively correlated with the haze pollution in neighboring cities.(6)The short-term effects of socio-economic influences on haze pollution are more significant.(7)There is significant spatial hetero-geneity in the socioeconomic impact factors of haze pollution.(8)The location change of the high value area of the regression coefficients of economic growth and the rationaliza-tion of industrial structure is unstable, while the location change of the high value area of the regression coefficients of other factors is relatively stable. Therefore, based on the above findings,it is recommended that the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration promote regional synergistic management of haze pollution, implement a differentiated joint prevention and control system, and optimise the socio-economic structure to tackle haze pollution at its root. |
