Synaptic transmission signal is an important carrier for neurons to transmit information.Many advanced functions of human brain,such as learning and memory,are closely related to synaptic transmission.Synaptic transmission signal analysis is a common research method in neuroscience.However,in the traditional analysis methods,parameters are extracted by hand,and the amount of analysis data is limited.In order to solve this problem,a signal processing system for synaptic transmission of neurons is developed.The feasibility of the system is verified by the response data of neurons,and a conjecture about the mechanism of terahertz regulating synaptic transmission of neurons is proposed.Firstly,aiming at the problem of efficient analysis of synaptic transmission signal,a synaptic transmission signal analysis and processing system is developed.According to the basic functions of the system requirements and the characteristics of the signal,the main functions corresponding to the modular software are designed.The functions of extracting effective data,removing noise and stimulus artifact,correcting baseline drift,calculating,statistics and saving of parameters,and displaying of signal waveform and statistical results of parameters are developed in detail,so as to realize the analysis and processing system and analyze experimental data efficiently and accurately.Secondly,to solve the problem of terahertz reliably stimulating the synapses of neurons,the method of terahertz stimulating synaptic transmission of neurons is proposed and the experimental platform of terahertz stimulating neurons is built.By building THz stimulation module to generate THz wave stably,different THz stimulation schemes are designed to radiate neuron samples,and the THz spectrum width and radiation power are measured and calculated.By building a field potential recording module,the field potential signals of neurons are recorded in real time.So as to collect synaptic transmission signals of neurons with different terahertz stimulation schemes.At last,the mechanism of terahertz regulation on synaptic transmission is proposed.The effect of terahertz on basic synaptic transmission was studied by analyzing the results of normal synaptic signals stimulated by terahertz.The effects of terahertz on synaptic plasticity were studied.To investigate whether terahertz has protective effect on synapses,the results of THz continuous stimulation of damaged synaptic signals were analyzed.Based on the above results,the mechanism of terahertz stimulation regulating synaptic transmission of neurons was explored and reasonable conjectures were put forward.
