Abstract/Summary:
With the huge number of players and huge industrial revenue,the cultural and economic impact of video games in China has become increasingly significant,and its diversified value has also received unprecedented attention.As the government has repeatedly initiated calls for the "creativity" transformation of traditional culture,video games that use intangible cultural heritage as the creative theme have also received considerable attention in the game industry,and are entering the public’s view with a positive posture.As a representative of traditional culture and contemporary culture,video games with the theme of intangible cultural heritage combines video games and intangible cultural heritage,whose innovative breakthroughs in content and form are worthy of in-depth discussion.Especially from the transmediality generation characteristics of video games and the cross-media communication of intangible cultural heritage,this thesis proposes that transmediality is an important path and key issue for investigating and deep understanding of intangible cultural heritage-themed video games.Through desk research survey,case study,fieldwork research and other research methods,this thesis attempts to point out the creative motivation,works and player experience issues of intangible cultural heritage-themed video games,and puts forward the analysis path from transmediality.Based on the content structure framework of video games,this thesis combs the phenomenon and mechanism of the transmediality of intangible cultural heritage-themed video games.At the same time,this thesis puts the intangible cultural heritage-themed video games in the practical environment of industry and culture,and analyzes and reflects on its transmediality significance and influence.The first chapter of this thesis describes the current situation of intangible cultural heritage-themed video games from the perspectives of creators,works and players,and then combs through the evolution process of the transmediality of video game games,and finally summarizes its specific performance of transmediality in intangible cultural heritage-themed video games.The second chapter is the key chapter of this thesis.According to the ”reverse” creation process of video games that regard IP as the core,the content structure of intangible cultural heritage-themed video games is sorted into three parts: “top-level” narrative,aesthetic expression and gameplay system,and then combined with cases to discuss its realization mechanism and related principles.Among them,it sort out the top-down transmediality realization process of the top-level narrative of intangible cultural heritage-themed video games,and splits the aesthetic expression of intangible cultural heritage-themed video games into external and Internal,finally including realization of the transmediality in the gameplay system from partial to overall.In the last chapter,this thesis summarizes the significance of the transmediality of the intangible heritage-themed video game to its gameplay and theme,analyzes the positive promotion of the transmediality in the external reality environment to the practical application,and reflects The problems and dilemmas of intangible cultural heritage-themed video games under the influence of transmediality.As the product of the collision of tradition and innovation in the current national cultural development process,intangible cultural heritage-themed video games are currently in the early stages of development and have distinct characteristics and contradictions.Study for the transmediality of intangible cultural heritage-themed video games can reconcile the conflicting aspects of intangible cultural heritage and video games,fully explore the potential of video game media expression and the possibility of contemporary expression of intangible cultural heritage,and provides creators with innovation and guidance for the works,provides criteria for the criticism of works,and provides subdivided game types for the players.In the end,the significance of intangible cultural heritage-themed video games is reflected in the practical application of cross-media,and its application situation provides a development direction for intangible cultural heritage-themed video games,and to a certain extent reveals the current problems and traps of intangible cultural heritage-themed video games.
