In recent years,the state has issued a series of policies and documents focusing on school physical education.As the direct implementer of relevant national policies,physical education teachers can effectively establish their own authority is essential for the special functions of physical education.But teacher authority has been misunderstood,thinking that physical education teachers do not need authority,or that physical education teachers have their own authority.Therefore,it is an issue worthy of attention to explore the performance of the authoritative physical education teachers in middle schools and how they establish authority.This research takes a physical education teacher who has successfully established authority as the research object,adopts the strategy of narrative research,and uses interview and observation methods to describe and analyze the whole process of Teacher M’s authority establishment.It can be summarized as three stages: encountering difficulties,getting better,and never ending.In the first stage,due to lack of practical experience,Teacher M mainly establishes authority by asking others for help.After a failed request for help,Teacher M starts his own way of establishing authority,and thus enters the second stage.In the second stage,Teacher M begin to rely on his own effort to establish authority from seven aspects.These seven aspects are to provide students with behavior paradigms,show students professional abilities,teach students in accordance with their aptitudes to establish authority,stimulate students’ value recognition,and infect students with teaching enthusiasm,use the power of rituals and guide students toward autonomy.Through the unremitting efforts of Teacher M,he gradually entered the third stage in establishing authority.In the third stage,on the one hand,Teacher M who is trusted and obeyed by the students is confident of his own authority,on the other hand,he also realizes that the students are changing.Although he has achieved certain results,he still needs to continue to improve himself.In the last part of this research,by reviewing and thinking about the entire authority establishment process of Teacher M,this research explores the deep reasons why Teacher M can effectively establish teacher authority,and from this the relevant suggestions for the establishment of the authority of junior high school physical education teachers are drawn.First of all,physical education teachers should establish a "student-oriented" educational philosophy,which specifically includes establishment of an authoritative view that leads to student autonomy,a view of teachers with responsibility first,and a view of students with respect as the core;second,physical education teachers should act the authoritative practice of "education-centered",specifically includes compliance with classroom rules based on fairness,stimulating students’ learning motivation based on understanding,and changing students’ self-awareness based on acceptance;finally,physical education teachers should constantly compare the "educational principles" conducts authoritative reflection,which specifically includes reflection on its own concept of authority and reflection on its own authority practice behavior.
