As the demand for test scale and speed grows rapidly in complex system,more advanced bus technology began to emerge.Axie is a new instrument bus sourcing from the ATCA(Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture)in the telecom industry,which supports PCI Express and 10 G Eth data transmission and backward compatible with LXI and PXI.On the other hand,waveform generation technology is widely used in automatic test,signal simulation.It also puts forward higher demand for waveform sampling rate,storage depth,resolution and waveform synthesis flexibility of signal excitation.This thesis intends to design a dual channel signal generation module based on Axie bus,which has the characteristics of broadband,high resolution and flexible waveform synthesis.By analysis of main secifications of the signal generation module the thesis proposes a scheme composed of waveform storage,reading and digital/analog conversion.Meanwhile,the structure of dual channel signal generation is formed based on Axie standard with single AXIe slot and FMC sub card,which makes it have the characteristics of high sampling rate,mass deep storage,modularization and portability.In the design of waveform storage and reading circuit,DDR3 SDRAM DIMM memory module is used as the waveform memory.Applying Scatter-Gather DMA(sgdma)data access and descriptor chain block generation associated with data layer access,the data access logic circuit is designed to meet the needs of waveform synthesis,The waveform storage depth is up to 2 GPTS and the minimum access block length is 4kpts.The transmission link of host waveform data stream PCIe based is given followed AXIe standard,as well as Axie bus clock distribution,bus trigger signal circuit.In the aspect of digital/analog conversion,the JESD204 B high-rate protocol is used to realize the waveform sampling output with dual channel 6.4GSPS sampling rate.Further test results show that the Axie-based dual channel high-rate signal generation module has a maximum sampling rate of 6.4 GSPS,a maximum output frequency of1.6GHz,SFDR range of above 60 d Bc,an on-board memory capacity of 2Gpts and a harmonic distortion of-58 d Bc.All results meet the design requirements.
