With the change of the modern battlefield environment and the application of stealth technology to various weapons,radar faces more and more serious challenges.How to detect and track weak targets with a low signal-to-noise ratio is of great significance in modern warfare system.Track Before Detect(TBD)algorithm,as a technology that can effectively detect and track weak targets,is worthy of in-depth discussion and research.In this thesis,the TBD algorithms based on Particle Filtering and Dynamic Programming are studied.And the main results are as follows:Firstly,the target motion model and system measurement model under the framework of TBD are established.The principles and steps of the TBD algorithms based on particle filter and dynamic programming are studied.Secondly,aiming at the problem of particle degeneracy existing in the standard PF-TBD algorithm,the TBD algorithms based on auxiliary particle filter and Markov Chain Monte Carlo method are studied and compared.The simulation results verify that these two improved algorithms have better detection and tracking effect.Next,this thesis puts forward an improved multiple model PF-TBD algorithm.By adding the CV model,the CT model with variable turning rate,and the Quasi-Monte Carlo method,the improved algorithm could achieve the weak maneuvering target detection and tracking.The simulation results prove the superiority of the proposed algorithm in this thesis.Besides,the improved DP-TBD algorithms are also studied,including the directional weighted DP-TBD algorithm,the one-step forward-looking DP-TBD algorithm,and the optimized sliding window processing algorithm.Simulation results show the effectiveness of each improved algorithm,and the engineering application value of the algorithm is enhanced.The engineering application scheme of DP-TBD is given for the radar system,which is used to process the measured radar data.Compared with the traditional Detect Before Track(DBT)processing,the proposed scheme in this thesis can effectively detect the weak target and obtain its complete track from the strong clutter environment,verifying the practical engineering value of the DP-TBD algorithm.
