Complementary sequence sets are widely used in spread spectrum system,MIMO system,radar and other communication systems.The aim of the paper is to construct complementary sequence sets with flexible length,and apply them to the design of Hadamard matrix,the binary signature of sequence sets and the waveform of pulse radars,etc.In this paper,three methods of constructing complementary sequence sets are given.They are constructed that complementary sequence sets with the set size 4 and the lengths M + N,2M +N and the size of 8 and the sequence length of M +P,which are based on Golay complementary pairs,Complementary mate and sequence cascade of complementary sequence sets.The complementary sequence sets in this paper can not only cover the length of known complementary sequence sets,but also generate complementary sequence sets with the new lengths.At present,Low PMEPR sequences such as GCPs are mainly adopted and referred to the OFDM systems.However,the length of GCPs is limited,so the sequences in complementary sets with low set sizes can be used for the OFDM systems.Therefore,the design of complementary sequence sets with flexible length is of vital importance.
