The common quick response(QR)code is composed of black and white squares,with a monotonous form of expression and can only be recognized by devices with decoding functions,and lack semantic expression.The beautification of the QR code is to make the original QR code more attractive by changing the shape or color of the code block or embedding image.On the one hand,aesthetic QR codes(such as embedding logos)can show more intuitive information content.It helps deepen people's impression and promotes it.On the other hand,the beautification of the QR code can meet people's needs for the individualization of the QR code,so as to get rid of the cookie-cutter board shape and make it more diverse in appearance.However,the application of QR code beautification methods will affect the decoding performance of the generated QR code.This article focuses on improving the beautification effect of the QR code and reducing the loss of information in the QR code.The specific work content is as follows:1)A QR code beautification based on mask pattern optimization is proposed.The degree of conformity between the mask and the image affects the visual effect of the QR code beautification.The existing QR code beautification methods mostly follow the conventional penalty-based mask selection algorithm or artificial selection of the mask.In the selection strategy of the QR code mask,this paper discards the penalty-based mask selection algorithm in the conventional QR code,and defines the difference degree as a new target to select the mask with the highest compatibility with the embedded image.The strategy can reduce the noise in the beautified QR code and improve the visual quality of the beautified QR code.2)Designing a QR code beautification system that applied multiple beautification strategies such as mask optimization strategy.The system consists of two parts,including an aesthetic QR code generator and a decoder.In the aesthetic QR code generator,the embedding images optimization strategy,the padding codes replacement strategy,the module subdivision strategy,the colorization strategy and the mask optimization strategy are applied to realize the embedding of images in the QR code.In addition to the beautification function,the system can also embed hidden information.The hidden information can be embedded into the QR code along with normal information,and can be used in various scenarios such as QR code anti-counterfeiting and private information transmission.
