difference between the QR code module and the background image in those algorithms.The The traditional QR code is composed of almost random white and black module.The visual effect is poor.Thus,the aesthetic algorithm about QR code springs up.In the early stage,most research work concentrates on the error correction mechanism of RS(Reed-Solomon)code and direct replacement of some modules in QR code.However,there still exist some problems that the replaced region is too small and the QR modules cannot be fully modified.Subsequently,the aesthetic algorithms combining with the background image are proposed.The QR code and the background image are fused according to the fused region is restricted within the special area in which the difference is not distinct between the module and the binary background image.As a result,the background image can't be sufficiently displayed in the fused QR code.In order to overcome the above disadvantage and improve the effect of the aesthetic QR code,a series of QR code aesthetic scheme and security authentication algorithm are proposed.The research work and main contributions are described as follows:(1)Research of aesthetic algorithm based on black and white QR code to improve visual effectAn aesthetic QR code algorithm based on XOR mechanism is proposed which can modify a larger region of black and white QR code.Furthermore,the special module can be modified according to one reference image without affecting the decoding rate.The experimental result shows that the data region of QR code can be freely modified and the visual effect of QR code is improved.(2)Research of aesthetic algorithm for color background image based on RS codeThe traditional QR code consisting of black and white modules is boring.Thus,an aesthetic QR code algorithm based on RS code and fusion strategy of color background image is proposed.The aesthetic QR code algorithm can modify a greater region of QR code,and the region of background image can be displayed as more as possible.Firstly,Positive Base Vector Matrix(PBVM)is obtained by Gauss-Jordan elimination.The parity region of QR code is replaced with the background image using error correction mechanism.Secondly,the QR code data region is replaced with the background image with the method of XOR mechanism combining with PBVM.Lastly,a new background image fusion strategy is proposed in order to implement the deep fusion between the QR code and background image.The experimental result shows that the beauty-appreciation effect is perfect without declining the decoding rate compared with existing aesthetic algorithm.(3)Security authentication algorithm for aesthetic QR codeIn the algorithm,the watermark technology is combined with an improved halftone visual cryptography and used to implement a security authentication for aesthetic QR code.Firstly,the stable features of aesthetic QR code are extracted.Secondly,an information block is generated using Arnold chaos and K-means cluster for the stable features.Lastly,the secret information block is obtained using improved halftone visual cryptography and used for security authentication when copyright of the aesthetic QR code is disputed.
