Research On Performance Evaluation Of Streaming Media Application Based On Cloud Platform

With the rapid development of cloud computing,a variety of cloud platforms have emerged in the market,and application deployment on the cloud has become normal.With the rise of live broadcasting industry in recent two years and the rapidly rising demand of online office under the epidemic situation,people began to use streaming media applications frequently.Due to the differences in the implementation principles and architectures of different cloud platforms,the performance of streaming media applications deployed on them is also different.For users or enterprises,it is extremely important to choose the appropriate cloud platform to deploy streaming media applications among numerous cloud platforms.In addition,most of the existing performance evaluation methods in the academic circle only focus on the performance of the cloud platform itself or the performance of streaming media applications,without forming a set of evaluation system,which cannot provide reference for users to choose cloud platforms.To sum up,it is of great research value to evaluate the performance of streaming media applications deployed on cloud platforms in this paper.On the research background and significance of this topic,through in-depth study of cloud platform architecture and principle,combined with the function and performance characteristics of streaming media application,this paper designs a set of evaluation system from three aspects: the virtualization performance of cloud platform,the performance of streaming media application service and the usability of streaming media application on cloud platform,which can be used to evaluate the performance of streaming media on cloud platform.The evaluation system analyzes and designs the three elements of evaluation one by one: evaluation idea,evaluation model and experimental design.In view of each evaluation aspect,from the technical realization principle and performance form,the evaluation thought is elaborated in detail.After detailed analysis and derivation,a comprehensive index system is established,and the index calculation formula is designed,and the index data is processed,so as to construct an evaluation model.Then on the basis of the index system and evaluation model,a detailed evaluation system is designed,including the deployment of the evaluation environment,the selection of testing tools and the specific design of testing methods.In addition,based on the performance evaluation system of streaming media applications deployed on the cloud platform,this paper designs and implements a visualization,automated evaluation tool,which makes the evaluation system specific,so that users can use the evaluation tool to test the performance of streaming media applications deployed on the cloud platform after simple configuration.In the process of the test,the tool can monitor application state and resource changes.After the test,the tool will automatically aggregate the data and calculate the performance score.Finally,the Open Stack experimental cloud platform was built in the laboratory environment to conduct the performance evaluation experiment of the deployment of streaming media applications on the cloud platform.According to the evaluation system of this paper,with the assistance of evaluation tools,the test experiments were carried out from three perspectives,the test results were analyzed and explained,and the performance evaluation value was obtained through the evaluation model.The experiment verifies the feasibility of the evaluation system.
