With the rapid development of software technology and various processor performance,in the modern radar market,the use of software radar technology with hardware reconfigurable,software reconfigurable,and demand-customizable features has become a new trend in the development of radar systems.Based on the open architecture of software radar,the algorithm component scheme that meets radar application specifications and a template suitable for component development are designed,the algorithm components with different functions are realized,the radar applications are built,components are tested and optimized.Combining the actual radar development requirements,a radar system was built,and the applicability and real-time performance of the components were verified.Firstly,the background of the software-based radar technology research is introduced.The meaning of the birth of the software-based radar technology is pointed out,At the same time,the status research of current system,development trends and existing hardware platforms at home and abroad are investigated.And the necessity and significance of designing the software-based radar algorithm components are clarified.Secondly,the hierarchical architecture of the software radar and the specific content and functions of each level are introduced.And the design requirements of the components are discussed.By analyzing the characteristics of communication middleware and measuring the efficiency of computing middleware in different situations,the influence of middleware on the design of algorithm components is studied.In the component design,the component structure,configuration file,component communication interface,component parameter update and component template design are elaborated in detail.At the same time,from the perspective of the granularity of the components that combines with the characteristics of the actual development of the digital array radar,the design scheme of the composite component is proposed and studied.In addition,several optimization methods of components and composite components are explored.Thirdly,according to the designed component scheme and component template,some components with different functions and a conventional radar signal processing composite component are realized.The principle,implementation process and logic verification result of the component are described in detail.It reflects the practicality of component scheme and template design.And it improves the convenience of component development.And the effectiveness of the component optimization scheme is verified.Finally,two radar signal processing schemes based on the software transformation and domestic research and development requirements of two actual deployed radar systems are designed.A processing platform which contains Intel and domestic FT2000+ CPU processors are used.And the radar system applications by using components and composite components is built.The applicability and real-time performance of the components are verified through counting the running time,communication bandwidth and system resource occupancy,which demonstrate the convenience and flexibility of software-based radar technology in developing radar systems.
