Radar Cross Section(RCS)measurement is an important method to analyze the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of radar targets.In order to analyze the electromagnetic scattering characteristics of plasma-coated targets,the plasma coating target experimental research device was built on the ground by major national scientific research instrument project.Aiming at the strong scattering measurement environment in the plasma experimental research device,according to the measurement requirements of the project,this paper designs and develops a set of RCS imaging measurement system,which can perform high-precision measurement of low-scattering targets in a complex electromagnetic scattering environment,and perform measurement verification on the performance indicators of the measurement system.The measurement results show that the RCS measurement accuracy of the measurement system can be better than ± 1d B,and the performance indicators of the system meet the design requirements.This article mainly carried out the following work:1.Research the basic theory of radar target RCS measurement system construction.Derive the target RCS measurement principle based on one-dimensional range profile and twodimensional imaging,analyze the basic composition of the traditional RCS measurement system,and then put forward the construction method of the radar target RCS imaging measurement system in this paper.2.Aiming at the strong scattering measurement environment,based on the design index of the measurement system,the design scheme of the radar target RCS imaging measurement system is constructed.According to the system design plan,the performance indicators of the measurement system are demonstrated,and the theoretical performance indicators of the measurement system can meet the design requirements.3.Design the antenna component,which is the core measurement device of the system.According to the measurement requirements,the antenna component structure is designed.Through the separate transceiver measurement scheme and sub-band design,the antenna performance indicators under the full frequency band are guaranteed.According to the antenna component design structure,HFSS modeling simulation analysis is carried out to verify the rationality of the antenna component design.4.Verify the performance indicators of the RCS imaging measurement system.According to the actual measurement mode,the system index measurement plan is designed,according to the measurement plan,the verification of index measurement is carried out.The index measurement results show that the performance indicators of the RCS imaging measurement system meet the design requirements,and the measurement system meets the high-precision RCS measurement requirements of major national scientific research instrument projects.
