A terahertz wireless personal area network is a kind of wireless ad hoc networks operating in the terahertz band,compared with the traditional wireless personal area network,it has the advantages of large transmission bandwidth,small data transmission delay,and high reliability,Therefore,terahertz communication technology is more and more sought after by researchers from all over the world.However,the terahertz frequency band has the existence of atmospheric attenuation problem is not easy to solve,so that the network signal communication distance in the terahertz frequency band is very close,resulting in a small communication range of the network.The data transmission range of a terahertz wireless personal area network is only 10 m.Therefore,how to improve the data communication range of terahertz network has become an important research direction for scholars all over the world.People want to be able to connect multiple terahertz wireless personal area networks to each other,through the bridge node located in the overlapping area,the data can be transmitted across the network,so that the coverage of the whole network communication can be extended.This thesis mainly focuses on MAC protocol of multi-PAN terahertz wireless personal area network.This thesis introduces the research progress of terahertz wireless communication technology,then describes the terahertz wireless personal area network and its superframe structure,and introduces the multi-PAN terahertz wireless personal area network and its superframe structure in detail.On this basis,two new MAC protocols for multi-PAN terahertz wireless personal area networks are proposed to improve the overall performance of terahertz networks.aiming at the problems in defferent aspects of the network.The main work of this thesis includes the following two aspects:1.In the current multi-PAN terahertz wireless personal area network,during the superframe N-CTAP period,the data transmission process of the conventional nodes is easily interfered by the data of the neighboring networks,which leads to the problem of low data transmission success rate of the network nodes.To solve this problem,a Low Interference Multi-Pan MAC Protocol for Terahertz wireless personal area network is proposed.LI-MAC protocol defines the concept of network edge node by finding out the nodes with problems;The normal node type is reported to its own PNC,that is,the normal node type reporting mechanism,and PNC allocates the time slot resources of N-CTAP period according to the normal node type,that is,the time-slot allocation mechanism of low-interference N-CTAP.It can effectively reduce the probability of data interference in the process of data transmission in the N-CTAP period,improve the success rate of data transmission and increase the throughput of the network without generating additional control overhead.2.Aiming at the problem of idle time slot in N-CTAP period and P-CTAP period in the current multi-PAN terahertz wireless personal area network,In this thesis,we propose an Adaptive High Throughput MAC Protocol for Terahertz Wireless Personal Area Network,which is based on Adaptive High throughput MAC Throughout multi-PAN MAC Protocol.The AHT-MAC protocol includes the use of idle time slots in the N-CTAP period for slot resource allocation and data transmission,that is,the slot reallocation mechanism in the N-CTAP period and the adaptive omitting of idle time slots in the P-CTAP period to enter the next superframe.That is,the adaptive shortening of the superframe period mechanism.This protocol can effectively improve the slot resource utilization,reduce the data transmission delay and improve the throughput of the whole network.Finally,the thesis is summarized,and the further research direction of multi-PAN terahertz wireless personal area networks is pointed out.
