Nowadays,with the development and popularization of mobile Internet technology,the Internet data flow is growing rapidly,and the video flow occupies the main part.At the same time,the high-performance and low delay of terminal device make people have higher requirements on the definition of video on the network.Coupled with the development of cloud platform and cloud computing,more and more people transmit high-definition video through the network and upload it to the cloud to save,which makes video security become a major concern.Using video encryption and data hiding methods,people can disrupt video content when uploading video,and embed information such as access control,identity authentication and even privacy protection.High Efficiency Video Coding(HEVC)standard has gradually become the main current video compression codec standard due to people's demand for highdefinition video.Therefore,the research on HEVC video encryption and data hiding has well application value.At present,there are relatively few data hiding schemes appropriate for High Efficiency Video Coding(HEVC)videos.Most existing schemes cannot fully utilize all types of video frames,and their embedding capacity is low or the bitrate of the video streaming with data embedded is largely increased.In this paper,we propose a data hiding method for HEVC video.It employs the new coding elements of a HEVC video to embed data into different types of video frame.The proposed method mainly consists of three embedding modes,including modifying the Sample Adaptive Offset(SAO)of coding tree units,exchanging residual coefficients of the16×16,8×8 and 4×4 coding units and altering sign bits of 4×4 transform skip blocks.The experimental results show that the proposed method has better embedding imperceptibility,higher embedding capacity and a small influence on the bit rate of a video streaming.Compared with the recently proposed schemes,the stego video has higher visual quality and smaller bit rate increase.On the basis of the data hiding method,this paper also proposes a HEVC video selective encryption method combined with it,which can be used together with data hiding and has good separability.In this paper,a large number of experiments are carried out to verify and compare with the existing encryption schemes.It can be shown that the proposed encryption scheme not only has the advantages of combining data hiding,but also can achieve small impact of file size and better visual quality interference.
