The prosperity of the e-commerce has promoted the development of the warehousing logistics industry.Efficiency,quality and cost of storage are of great importance to ecommerce enterprises,and new automated storage and retrieval systems have been introduced into e-commerce enterprises.Shuttle-based storage and retrieval system(SBS/RS)is a new kind of automatic storage and retrieval system.The shuttle car and the elevator are matched to complete the bins entry and exit.The SBS/RS can complete the "Part-to-picker" order picking,which is suitable for e-commerce storage requirements of mutiple varieties and small batches.How to further improve the efficiency of SBS/RS is an important issue which needs deep investigation.Taking the order picking of the SBS/RS as the research object,the equipment composition and work flow of the system are analyzed.In order to improve the efficiency of order picking,this thesis studies from two aspects: order batching and path optimization.(1)In the order picking process,the frequency of bins entry and exit is one of the key factors affecting the system efficiency.Taking the minimum number of bins out of the warehouse as the objective function,an order batching optimization model is established,and an improved genetic algorithm is designed to solve the model.Through simulation comparison,it is verified that the order batching optimization can effectively reduce the times of bins delivery,and then improve the picking efficiency.(2)For the storage and outbound operations in a single aisle,storage and outbound tasks can be reasonably matched to form a compound operation,which can reduce the total time to complete all tasks.Aiming at minimizing the total time to complete a batch of tasks,a compound operation path optimization model is established,and an improved discrete particle swarm optimization algorithm is designed to solve the model.Through simulation comparison,it is verified that the compound operation path optimization model can shorten the total time of compound operations,and improve the storage and outbound efficiency.The research results provide order batch and path optimization strategies for the ecommerce enterprises applying the SBS/RS.It is of great significance to improve picking efficiency and reduce picking cost.
