Bluetooth Low Energy Mesh(BLE Mesh)network is a new networking topological structure introduced by the bluetooth Special Interest Group(SIG).Compared with traditional Bluetooth technology,BLE Mesh has more node communication and longer propagation distance,but also faces more potential threats and attacks.Especially when the same network key is used in the whole network,the resistance to node capture attack is weak,there is due to fall of a single node will threaten the network security problems.Key management scheme is the basis of security mechanism,so it is of great significance to study the key management scheme of BLE Mesh network.In this thesis,based on the existing security mechanism of BLE Mesh network,from the perspective of regional isolation,through the introduction of a reasonable subnetwork division,the key management scheme of orthohexagonal regional division is designed.All kinds of keys are distributed by provisioner for the new node.The new device can enter the network from the subnetwork through the partitioned cluster-head node.There are independent subnetwork keys inside different partitions,each of which is safe.After the introduction of regular hexagon region division,the danger of the whole network collapse caused by single point failure is avoided.Meanwhile,the scope of key refresh is limited to the relevant subnetwork region,which reduces the number of nodes that need to be updated,can complete the key refresh process faster,and improves the resistance to node capture attacks.Due to the orthohexagnal subnetwork region division,each region has only six neighbors,which can well control the cost of nodes while ensuring security.Based on the n RF52832 Bluetooth chip as the core of the development board,this thesis realizes and verifies the function of the designed key management scheme.The analysis results show that the network security is improved after using the designed key management scheme,the key refresh completion time is saved by more than33%,and it also has good performance in terms of load overhead and the growth range is controlled within 20%.The research results of the thesis have certain value for improving the security of BLE Mesh network.
