The fifth-generation mobile communication system is the latest-generation cellular mobile communication system that has been commercially available,and its primary performance goal is high-speed transmission.Of course,only a sufficiently large available bandwidth can support such a high-speed transmission.Because the millimeter wave has abundant available bandwidth resources and can meet the high-speed transmission requirements of the communication system,the millimeter wave communication system becomes the best candidate for the fifth-generation mobile communication system.If a wireless communication system wants to obtain the best transmission performance,the transmitter and receiver of the system must be designed according to the characteristics of the channel.This shows that the accuracy of the wireless channel parameter estimation will directly affect the performance of the entire system.Therefore,a suitable channel estimation method will provide great convenience for subsequent signal detection and signal reconstruction processes.Channel parameter estimation is a key technology for realizing wireless communication systems.This thesis studies the channel estimation technology of millimeter wave communication system.First of all,if you want to study the channel estimation of millimeter wave,you must have an understanding of millimeter wave and its transmission channel.Therefore,this thesis introduction the propagation characteristics of millimeter wave and sparse characteristics of millimeter wave channel.Secondly,this thesis conducts an in-depth study on two classic millimeter wave channel estimation methods,namely the channel estimation method based on traditional compressed sensing and the channel estimation method based on 2D-DFT.At the same time,this thesis improves the channel estimation method based on 2D-DFT,and designs a block comparison channel estimation method based on 2D-DFT.Finally,this thesis designs a compressed sensing channel estimation method based on block comparison reconstruction,using 2D-DFT as a precoding technology to improve the traditional compressed sensing channel estimation method.This thesis introduces the idea and system model of the whole improved method,and verifies the feasibility of the method through simulation.Experimental results show that compared with traditional channel estimation methods,this method not only has better channel estimation performance,but also reduces training overhead and calculation scale.
