As a new computing method with high performance,low latency and high bandwidth,Mobile Edge Computing can sink the performance of Cloud Computing from the cloud to the edge of the network to efficiently process massive data,so it has a wide range of applications in various fields.In recent years,with the rapid development of 5G and Internet of things,the number of mobile devices in the access network is explosive growth.As an important part of Mobile Edge Computing,edge server can effectively share the computing pressure of the data center and let users access the computing resources nearby.However,the location and number of edge servers have not been determined.The appropriate location and number of edge servers can effectively reduce the energy consumption and user access latency of edge servers.Therefore,it is of great significance to choose an appropriate edge server placement algorithm.This thesis focuses on the placement of multi scene edge servers in Mobile Edge Computing,the main work of this thesis is as follows:(1)for the edge server placement in the core network side scenario,an edge server placement algorithm based on particle swarm optimization is proposed.The algorithm updates the location and speed of the edge server to determine the optimal location of the edge server.The simulation results show that the algorithm can reduce the access delay of users to the edge server to a certain extent and realize the load balancing between the edge servers.(2)for edge server placement in wireless access network side scenario,an edge server placement algorithm based on spectral clustering is proposed.The algorithm divides all base stations into k sub regions,and finds the best location of edge server in each sub region.The simulation results show that the algorithm has a good effect in reducing the energy consumption of the edge server and realizing the load balancing of the edge server.(3)The edge server placement module is designed and implemented based on Edge Cloud Sim.Firstly,the environment of Edge Cloud Sim is deployed,and then the edge server placement module is designed and implemented according to the two edge server placement algorithms proposed in this thesis.Finally,the feasibility of the algorithm is verified by testing in Edge Cloud Sim.
