The passive radar is a special bistatic radar system.Because of its special structure that the passive radar system has the advantages of strong survivability and strong anti-stealth ability. However, due to the complex external environment, the energy of the echo signal is usually very weak or even submerged by the noise. Therefore, improving the detection performance of the system has become an important issue in the field of passive radar. In this paper, the detection performance of the system is improved by extending the coherent time of the moving target as well as constructing a passive MIMO radar system. In order to achieve the above requirements, the research work of this paper will be focusd on the following points.Firstly, the simplified signal model of passive radar system is constructed, and the several types of common external emitters are analyzed. Then, based on the principle of traditional ambiguity function method,an equivalent pulse compression method which is commonly used in the process of long-time coherent integration is introduced. The phenomenon of range migration is also analyzed in the process of long-time coherent integration of uniform moving target. To compensate the range migration,Radon-Fourier and Keystone transform are introduced in this paper. Finally, the performance of Keystone method is analyzed by simulation.Next, the coherent integration of the passive radar system for high-order moving targets is analyzed. This paper introduces three algorithms which includes Dechirping,Extended keystone,Second order Wigner Ville algorithm.Based on the traditional algorithm,a quick EKT algorithm is proposed. This paper uses Polynomial-phase compensation method to correct the migration problem caused by higher-order moving target. Finally, combined with simulation, the complexity and detection performance of several algorithms are compared. Finally, the target detection technology based on passive MIMO radar is discussed. In the environment of multiple transmitters and receivers, the PMR and PSL methods in two different external environments are studied respectively.Monte Carlo simulation is used to verify the effectiveness of the above algorithms. The detection performance of the two methods is compared at the end of the paper.
