Research On The Impact Of Technology Mergers And Acquisitions On Enterprise Innovation Performance

With the rapid development of China's economy,technology merger and acquisition emerge one after another.When these enterprises don't buy as much as people expect in the economic market,some enterprises even get into trouble because of unsuccessful mergers and acquisitions.Technology merger and acquisition is full of risks,which has been recognized by people.Technology merger and acquisition research is not only the inevitable requirement of technology merger and acquisition practice,but also the objective demand of enriching and improving the existing mergers and acquisitions theory.For the sake of the future development of enterprises,the merger and acquisition of enterprises should attract people's attention.This paper analyzes the typical case of Huawei's merger and acquisition of harbor network,and expounds how technology merger and acquisition can improve innovation performance.This paper takes Huawei's case of merging the harbor network as the research object,and adds ZTE,apple and Samsung as the main competitors to conduct horizontal comparison.Firstly,the impact of technology merger and acquisition on innovation performance is measured from three different dimensions:(1)after the merger and acquisition,Huawei integrates internal knowledge with external knowledge,continuously and steadily increases the research and development investment,Gradually narrow the gap with the main competitors.(2)Huawei attaches importance to talent training after merger and acquisition,with the number and proportion of research and development personnel increasing greatly,while the quantity increases,and the quality is constantly improving,which makes the enterprise absorb more ability and can better integrate the technical resources of the port network.(3)After Huawei acquired the core technology of the port network,the number of patent applications increased greatly every year,and the number of patent applications and the industry average value decreased from 2006 to 2015.(4)The proportion of Huawei's patent applications for invention has increased year by year,and it has shown a steady upward trend in the past decade.In general,Huawei has performed well in its innovation performance after merging the port network,and its technological innovation capability has been improved.Secondly,the paper analyzes the impact path of technology technology merger and acquisition on Innovation Performance: the end of technology merger and acquisition is not to acquire the core technology of the acquired party,but to integrate the core technology of the other party and their own internal knowledge,and finally apply it.It can be said that the success of integration and absorption also determines whether the merger and acquisition is successful.Different enterprises,their management and operation are different.Huawei has fully played the advantages of the two enterprises from four aspects: cultural integration,human resource integration,production and operation integration and financial resource integration,and finally achieved the improvement of innovation performance.Finally,after Huawei acquired the harbor network,the innovation performance of the enterprise has been improved obviously.As a leading brand in the field of communication,Huawei is not only far ahead of other brands in China,but also occupies a place in the world.Therefore,the analysis of the factors that influence the innovation performance of Huawei technology merger and acquisition can be learned by other enterprises.
