Optical communication has become an important part of modern communication system and plays an irreplaceable role in all walks of life.Due to the loss,dispersion and nonlinear effect of signal light in optical fiber transmission,how to increase the transmission distance of signal has been a problem since the existence of optical fiber communication,and adding optical repeater is an effective means to overcome the long-distance transmission.In recent years,with the increasing desire for miniaturization and integration of devices,semiconductor laser amplifier(SOA)has gradually become a research hotspot because of the gradual maturity of technology.SOA has high requirements for the stability of working temperature,and the devices behind SOA should not have too high reflected light,otherwise it will be unstable in its working band.Therefore,it is very important to design the thermal structure and the light path structure which can reduce the reflection light.This paper mainly does the following research:(1)Use Icepak software for ambient temperature of 70?,operating temperature 40? SOA was thermologically simulated and its shell structure was improved twice.In the initial structure,the TEC working current is 0.17 A and the temperature difference between the hot and cold ends of the TEC is 56.41?,shell temperature 93.69?.When the shell area,TEC size and P-N logarithm are increased,the TEC working current decreases to 0.08 A and the temperature difference between hot and cold ends of TEC decreases to 50.24?,shell temperature reduced to 86.65?.When a heat sink structure is added to the improved structure,the TEC working current decreases to 0.075 A and the temperature difference between the hot and cold ends of the TEC decreases to 44.09?,shell temperature reduced to 80.69?,to meet the storage temperature of civil ROSA components not higher than 85? requirements,which proves that reasonable shell structure and heat sink can effectively reduce the shell temperature of the device,and it is found that for TEC,more p-n junction pairs and smaller temperature difference between hot and cold end are conducive to the improvement of TEC's cooling capacity.This paper explores the relationship between SOA and temperature difference of thermistor and environment temperature,and summarizes the approximate formula.In this paper,the design of SOA shell and semiconductor refrigerator is completed,the temperature compensation of thermal resistor is studied,and the shell design of 10 G coaxial encapsulated optical receiver conforming to SFP+ protocol is completed.(2)In addition to the structure design of coaxial optical receiver,the prism part of BOX type encapsulated receiver is also studied.The prism light path is simulated by Zemax software.The curvature radius of the lens is studied considering the miniaturization of the device,the high power of the incident light from the photosensitive surface and the good overall loss characteristics.The significance of using lenses with smaller curvature radius for engineering practice is summarized.
