The transmitarray antenna is a new high-gain antenna in the past ten years.Because of its compact structure,low cost,light weight and high gain performance,it has been widely studied and applied.Compared with the traditional high-gain array,the spatial feeding mechanism of the transmitarray antenna is its biggest advantage.It can reduce the insertion loss of the power division network and it is moving in the direction of low profile.In addition,the development of printed-circuit-board(PCB)technology enables the integration of solid-state components on the radiation panel,so that the transmitarray antenna can achieve the functions of electronic beam scanning and beam forming.Especially with the development of the communications industry,transmitarray antennas are gradually being used in fields such as 5G,base station construction,and radar communications.This dissertation studies the transmitarray antenna based on the multi-layer frequency selective surface(M-FSS).First,the research background and research significance of the transmissive array antenna are described.After a systematic summary of the previous research results,the working principle and general design principles of the transmissive array antenna are introduced.The main contents of this dissertation are as follows:First,two transmitarray antennas based on the M-FSS are designed.They are double degree of transmitarray antenna and double clipped ring transmitarray antenna,which respectively use two-layer and three-layer transmission arrays.Both antennas were simulated.The simulated peak gain of double degree of transmitarray antenna is about 22.36 d Bi,and the 3-d B bandwidth is about 17.09%.The simulated peak gain of double clipped ring transmitarray antenna is about 25.94 d Bi,and the 3-d B bandwidth is about 20.69%.In order to verify the feasibility of the design,the two designed transmitarray antennas were processed and measured in anechoic chamber.The simulation results of the measurement results with the design of a good fit.After that,mixed structural transmitarray antenna was proposed.The antenna consists of three layers of dielectric substrates loaded with metal patches of different structures,and the first and third substrates are loaded with metal patches of double conformal ring structure.The middle substrate is loaded with metal patches with a double ring structure.The double ring structure can increase the phase adjustment range of the unit.The simulation results show that the simulated peak gain of mixed structural transmitarray antenna is 26.42 d Bi,and the 3-d B bandwidth is about 11.18%.Finally,the completed work is summarized and discussed.
