The booming development of the Internet of Things(Io T)and the advancement of Industry 4.0 have promoted the intelligence and automation of modern factories, and smart factories have also put forward new requirements for equipment monitoring technology ——non-invasive monitoring. As a widely-used Io T technology in industry,Radio Frequency Identification(RFID)has also become a representative non-invasive sensing technology in the field of ubiquitous computing due to its passive sensing. Therefore,it has unique natural advantages to apply it to equipment monitoring systems in the new era of industry. In order to solve the problems that it is difficult to obtain the signal data of abnormal or fault state of mechanical equipment and the applicability of RFID completely non-invasive monitoring scheme is weak, this paper will study a tool that can assist the actual development and deployment of rotating equipment monitoring systems, and establish a non-invasive sensing model of RFID that can be used to sense the rotating state of mechanical equipment. However, the existing research's methods and results can not satisfy the subtle perception of the rotating state. Therefore, this paper establishes a complete, flexible, reliable RFID non-invasive sensing model based on the physical law of electromagnetic wave propagation. The main research results are as follows:(1)This paper analyzes the application of RFID in non-invasive sensing, proposes the circuit propagation of RFID to standardize the superposition calculation of all signal influencing factors, and proposes the optical-sensing of RFID to visualize the abstract sensing process.(2)Select the most suitable theoretical formula from several signal propagation theories, and establish a solid and highly accurate RFID noninvasive sensing model through strict derivation and reasonable rewriting.(3)By using the mature knowledge of mechanical field,a complete rotation model of impeller is established, which enables users to get the corresponding phenomenon of impeller rotation by setting parameters, and the motion model is embedded in RFID sensing model, eliminating the tedious data transformation.(4)The signal characteristics of impeller eccentricity and flutter in each scene are summarized, and some verification experiments are carried out to prove the high accuracy and effectiveness of the RFID non-invasive sensing model designed in this paper for sensing the rotating state. This paper first introduces the background and significance of RFID non-invasive sensing of mechanical rotation, analyzes the limitations and deficiencies of current researches, and then studies related traditional RFIDbased mechanical state sensing technology and RFID-based non-intrusive sensing technology. After a brief overview, the technical route is put forward.Secongdly, the theoretical basis and specific methods of impeller rotation dynamics model and RFID non-invasive sensing model are introduced in detail, and the two models are perfectly integrated.Thirdly,a large number of simulation experiments are conducted to summarize signal characteristics of impeller's abnormal rotation, and the accuracy and validity of the simulation results are verified through actual experiments. Finally, the future research work is prospected.
