The barrage, derived from the Japanese danmaku,is instantaneously loaded comment that overlays and swipes right-to-left into the video at a specific play time.Although the barrage is generally regarded as a kind of comment,it is fundamentally different from the comment in terms of form and content. Its strong immediacy, interactivity and visual characteristics can stimulate instantaneous resonance and empathy, forming a temporary relationship via interaction and communication. As a new media technology, barrage has changed the cultural needs of young audiences.Due to the fact that a large number of barrage is meaningless in the text but meaningful through repeating and rendering atmosphere with visual features, the traditional topic models and sentiment analysis methods are based on well-established dictionary.Segmentation cannot be fully and accurately adapted to barrage.Based on the phenomenon in bullet screen communication that "meaningless content can be meaningful in form",the paper introduces the concept of situation in communication, and uses quantitative means to represent the scene of "virtual presence" based on a topic point across time and space. The ignored interaction among text content, video content and user is therefore presented.Under the support of scene theory and structural language theory, understanding barrage cannot be separated from the user's social backgrounds and its own cognitive system.Barrage can then be defined as a conceptual consensus based on the specific context and association.Barrage situation refers to the sum of the weak relationship among the barrage content, video content and user due to a specific topic point.Barrage users have a natural tendency of expression of self, seeking recognition, social need and access to information.Barrage provides a virtual presence for the audience in different places. The article puts forward two models of the barrage situation effect from linguistic and communication perspective: contextualization and situationalization, that is,barrage content is based on both video content and reader cognition complement;barrage communication is based on empathy and crowd effect. On this basis, with the use of similarity calculations and social network analysis, the temporary scene of the barrage, the cause of its formation and the scope of its effect are identified and interpreted. The paper analyzes contextualization in terms of text based on timing correlations, and situationalization in terms of social network approach.Taking the animation film made in China as an example, the characteristics of the danmaku screen are analyzed. The study finds that the danmaku video generally has the consensus of showing attendance. The more the number of barrage reaching peak in the closing scene or in the middle of the plot, the more likely the movie to be well received. The peak of barrage number as the judgment of the barrage scene is feasible. The further step after splitting the potential scenes is to interpret them from the user motivation.Through analysis of the virtual tone words and topic words, danmaku that shows the same feeling may be more likely to cause users to feel good about the video.Visual features of colors, such as green, can be used to identify features of negative scenes. In the construction of user "situational" social networks based on the similarity of the scene at a particular moment, and the "contextual" content network based on the correlation between subtitles and barrage, the study finds that the core danmaku users of high-frequency tend to post similar comments in the middle and at the end of the video. They form networks of different densities and relations at different scene moments. The cooccurrence of subtitles and danmaku peaks in the moment and before and after the moment when the subtitles appear.By constructing a user network and the subtitledanmaku network based on the co-occurrence of barrage, the relationship between barrage scenes can be characterized from both the user side and the video content side.
