In the current situation of rapid development of communication networks,the network quality and operation and maintenance capabilities of data centers have put forward higher requirements.The traditional backbone network uses VPLS technology to fully connect the network.This method has the disadvantages of consuming network resources and easily causing ARP flooding.In the subsequent evolution,an EVPN solution that migrates MAC learning to the control layer and uses BGP to notify the peer is proposed.,Can effectively improve network performance.The NP chip uses microcode programming,and has fast response capabilities and efficient computing capabilities that can well adapt to the requirements of the forwarding layer.Therefore,the NP chip and the CPU are used to participate in the MAC learning scheme to implement the underlying driver of MPLS EVPN.The main tasks completed in this thesis are as follows:(1)Introduces the basic principles and characteristics of MPLS EVPN related technologies,focusing on in-depth explanations of key technologies such as MPLS characteristics and L2/L3 VPN technology.(2)According to the characteristics of the NP chip and network requirements,a general processing flow for the upstream and downstream directions of the NP chip L2 VPN and L3 VPN services is designed.First,a design plan for service forwarding in the upstream direction is proposed,focusing on the specific process and design ideas of service forwarding,and then a service forwarding model in the downstream direction is proposed,focusing on its design ideas and detailed processing.(3)Designed the EVPN business processing flow,including MAC address learning/forwarding,EVPN bridging,etc.Define MAC table,forwarding table,aging table and other items,introduce blocking information,aging mechanism,Flush mechanism to complete MAC address learning,and reuse Layer 2 business processes to realize forwarding.(4)Preliminary design of the forwarding mode of EVPN overlaying SRv6 tunnel.(5)Functional tests were performed on all the design schemes,and the test results were analyzed.Through the tests,it can be known that the design schemes in this paper can meet the requirements of business traffic forwarding,and the schemes are feasible and effective.Applying the solution designed in this thesis and the preliminary test results in the performance version,the source MAC learning rate is about 1300 per second.It can be seen that the capacity of high-end routers to carry services has been significantly improved,and the forwarding efficiency has also been improved,which has potential Meeting the needs of future networks also makes it possible to carry EVPN in the future.
