With the increasing popularity of vehicles,requirement of informatization and intellectualization of transportation,the in-vehicle network has gained more and more attention.However,due to the bandwidth and tariff limitation of 4G cellular network,the cost of data exchange between vehicles and servers is expensive.Therefore,it will be an effective solution to use the Vehicular Ad hoc Network(VANET)to exchange contents.But the performance of data dissemination in VANET has been affected by the irregular distributive characters and the high-speed of vehicles.Recently researches have introduced the named data networking(NDN)into VANET scenarios to improve the performance of data dissemination.Because of the complex scenarios of VANET,there are great challenges in applying the NDN to the VANET.The Interest packet forwarding scheme in NDN for VANET has been studied in this thesis.The main researches are as follows:1.An Interest packet Forwarding Path Selection scheme,named IFPS,is proposed.The urban road is divided into two parts: intersection area and road section area.Interest packet can be forwarded to destination areas where the data packet resides.The forwarding path is created through road topology,which is oriented to destination area.Each forwarding path has four attributes,such as hop count,round trip time,number of PIT and connectivity of path.Interest packet may match multiple destination areas.On the basis of multi-attribute decision-making,the forwarding path which is oriented to destination area is evaluated.Finally,the Interest packet obtains the best destination area from several candidates.The performance of forwarding scheme is verified on the ndnSIM platform,the simulation results show that IFPS can reduce the request delay of Interest packet and improve the Interest packet delivery ratio.2.An Interest packet Single hop Forwarding Scheme,named ISFS,is proposed.The timer-based forwarding method is introduced to the content provider whose location is known.The setting of the timer takes account of the position of forwarder and the congestion of the node.This timer is used to allow better receivers to forward the Interest packet.The probability-based forwarding method is introduced to the content provider whose location is known.The setting of the probability takes account of the vehicle speed,the transmission and received power of Interest packet.The neighbor node will forward Interest packet based on a probability.The simulation results show that ISFS can control network load and further improve the Interest packet delivery ratio while the vehicular density is high.
