With the rapid expansion of cloud computing and the advent of the 5G era,data communication between virtual machines in virtual networks is becoming more frequent,and the demand for data stream forwarding efficiency is also increasing.Starting from the current virtual network forwarding technology,this thesis introduces the basic principles of common components in the virtual network forwarding process,and proposes a data stream forwarding optimization scheme based on vDPA(vhost data path acceleration)technology.By testing the data stream forwarding performance in the virtual network before and after the optimization,it can be seen that the communication bandwidth between virtual machines has been increased by about 20% on the original basis,and the forwarding performance of the network card passthrough technology is basically reached.This proves that the optimization scheme based on vDPA technology improves the forwarding performance of the virtual network and verifies the effectiveness of the optimization scheme.This optimization scheme has important significance and reference value for enterprises to reduce network forwarding costs and improve project development and testing efficiency.The main work of this thesis is as follows:(1)Researched the current commonly used virtual network forwarding technology and some components,including DPDK technology and OVS technology,etc.At the same time,it also introduces the network I/O paravirtualization technology and commonly used accelerated packet processing technology in the virtual network,including the front-end virtio technology and back-end vhost technology,and the basic principles of network card pass-through technology.(2)A design scheme for optimization of virtual network forwarding performance based on vDPA technology is proposed.The basic principles and functional modules of vDPA technology are studied,and an optimization scheme for applying vDPA technology to the virtual network forwarding process is designed.In the plan,the vDPA component and the data stream forwarding framework are combined and designed,and the optimized plan is implemented,including the implementation in the kernel based on the vDPA technology,the implementation in the user space,and the implementation in the hardware module.This solution optimizes the forwarding performance of data streams between virtual machines in a virtual network,and realizes the feasibility of real-time migration of virtual machines on the basis of increasing network bandwidth.(3)Designed the test experiment plan of the data packet forwarding performance in the virtual network,and completed the communication performance test between the virtual machines in the virtual network in different experimental environments.The experiment mainly tested the data packet forwarding rate between virtual machines in three different forwarding schemes in two scenarios.Through the analysis of the experimental results,it is verified that the vDPA-based optimization solution maintains the virtio standard interface while increasing the network bandwidth on the basis of the original DPDK-OVS forwarding solution,basically reaching the network bandwidth of the network pass-through technology.
