Visual information is the main source of human perception of the world,accounting for 83%of the total sensory information.Visual information is three-dimensional,but traditional flat-panel displays can only provide two-dimensional image information,which is difficult to meet the visualization needs of three-dimensional data in various fields.Three-dimensional display technology not only provides two-dimensional data but also includes image depth information,which has become a key research direction in recent years.Autostereoscopic display technology can display multi-viewpoint three-dimensional images,and users can observe continuous and smooth three-dimensional images without wearing auxiliary tools.However,the autostereoscopic display technology lacks vertical parallax.The light field display technology can restore the original light field information of the three-dimensional scene and solve the problem of convergence adjustment conflict.However,the light field display technology still has the contradictory of increasing the viewing angle,resolution or stereoscopic perception.Here,the key technology of the light field display with wide viewing angle of the is investigated and developed.The main research content and innovation points of this dissertation are as follows:(1)Light field display based on dynamic barrier grating and time division multiplexing technology:In order to solve the contradiction between the large viewing angle,resolution and stereoscopic perception of the light field display,this paper introduces a dynamic barrier grating to divide the working group of the lens array,increasing the pixels of lens in the horizontal direction,thereby increasing the horizontal viewing angle.And the use of time-division multiplexing technology to ensure that the horizontal viewing angle is increased without sacrificing resolution and stereoscopic perception.In the light field display technology based on dynamic barrier gratings proposed in this paper,the lens array activated in each time slot is different,and the element image array will also change accordingly.Therefore,it is necessary to design a special encoding method for this technology to ensure that each time slot the pixels on the LCD correspond to the light field information restored at each viewpoint position correctly.(2)Light field display based on dynamic mask and interlaced lens array:The light field display technology based on the dynamic barrier can only increase the horizontal viewing angle of the light field display.In order to increase the vertical viewing angle,here introduces a dynamic mask and an interlaced lens array.This method is based on the technical improvement of the dynamic barrier.The dynamic mask can dynamically allocate the working group of the lens,while increasing the horizontal pixels and vertical pixels covered by a single lens,thereby increasing the horizontal viewing angle and vertical viewing angle.And because the mask and the LCD are dynamically switched synchronously,the resolution and stereoscopic perception will not be sacrificed by increasing the horizontal and vertical viewing angles.Here uses the interlaced lens array instead of the traditional lens array.This paper designs a new element image array encoding method to ensure that the pixels covered by the lens under each time slot is the same,and the pixels covered in the horizontal and vertical directions is 1.4 times that of the traditional light field display.
