Biological robots are the products of the progress of electronic technology,micro-processing technology and life science.The neurological experiments of biological robots relies on a fully functional experimental platform.Compared with animal robots,insect robots have great advantages in body shape,activity ability and concealment,and they have a broader application prospect.There are some problems in the research of insect robots,such as large backpack volume,large communication module and single function of experimental platform.Based on the above problems,this project carried out the development of electrical stimulation and acquisition system platform applied to insect robots,designed a radio stimulation backpack to meet the insect load,and built the electrical stimulation and acquisition platform suitable for insect neurology experiment.The main work of this paper is as follows:Firstly,a neural experimental system platform is proposed to meet the load constraints of bees.Aiming at the problems of heavy backpack and large communication modules in animal robot platforms such as rats and geckos,the design scheme of ultra-lightweight and small volume radio stimulation backpack is proposed.And based on this,the platform scheme of electrical stimulation and acquisition system for insect robots is constructed.In this scheme,the backpack has the advantages of small size,light weight and low power consumption,and the platform has the characteristics of multiple functions and data synchronization.Then an ultra-lightweight and low-power radio backpack for bees is proposed and developed.Aiming at the design difficulties of miniaturized tag antenna,a new design scheme of compact antenna with spiral structure is proposed.Aiming at the problem of limited energy supply of backpack,low-power design technology is adopted to reduce the power consumption of the backpack.Finally,the platform software of electrical stimulation and acquisition system for insect robot is designed and implemented.The software has many functions,such as video display and storage,electrical stimulation parameter configuration,label selection,electrical stimulation command sending and status display.Aiming at the synchronization problem of insect behavior and electrical stimulation instruction in this platform,a method of measuring the system delay by using image processing technology is proposed,and it has solved the synchronization problem of the platform.After the above design,the electrical stimulation and acquisition platform for insect robots is finally completed.After testing,the size of the backpack is 12.27mm × 5.48mm × 1.76mm,the weight is 113.2mg,the power consumption is only 0.129mW.The size of tag antenna is 5mm ×10.8mm × 0.2mm,and the center frequency is 918MHz.The platform has many functions such as command sending and image acquisition.The platform has been applied to bees to conduct biological verification experiments,which shows that the platform can meet the requirements of biological nerve experiment of insect robots.
