With the explosive growth of traffic and the related huge bandwidth demand,DWDM technology has been the research hotspot of optical transmission network after decades of research and development for emerging multimedia services and Internet services.DWDM technology can provide higher communication capacity,improve transmission efficiency and broaden network broadband services.It is the foundation of all-optical network communication in the future.All optical network is the inevitable trend of future optical transmission network.At present,the market demand for all-optical network is increasing.As the core technology of all-optical network,all-optical wavelength conversion is the focus of this paper.How to design a fast all-optical wavelength conversion system with simple structure,easy integration,faster switching speed and lower delay is the standard index to improve the performance of all-optical network.The key devices of fast all-optical wavelength conversion technology are light source and wavelength converter.Therefore,in the fast all-optical wavelength conversion system,the stability and efficiency of the laser and wavelength converter are the key to the system design.Therefore,this paper will study the following contents:(1)In this paper,the research of fast tunable all-optical wavelength conversion technology based on SOA is based on the current scholars'research on DWDM technology and all-optical network.The core devices of fast tunable all-optical wavelength conversion scheme are selected:fast tunable laser Mg-Y modulated laser and semiconductor optical amplifier soal 117s.(2)In this paper,the development of fast tunable all-optical wavelength conversion technology based on SOA is based on the existing software and hardware development technology.The core devices of fast tunable all-optical wavelength conversion scheme are reasonably designed,including the driving stability and wavelength tuning stability of fast tunable laser,the wavelength conversion efficiency of semiconductor optical amplifier,etc.(3)Based on the realization of fast tunable all-optical wavelength conversion technology of SOA,this paper designs and implements a pure optical cross gain modulation wavelength conversion processing board,and completes the wavelength conversion of two input optical signals.Through this system,we can realize the functions of multi wavelength optical data transceiver,wavelength conversion,wavelength routing and so on.
