The commercialization of 5G low-frequency mobile communication systems is going on all over the world.With the continuous growth of business demand and machine access scale,the commercialization of 5G millimeter wave systems is not far away.Traditional channel models are based on link-level channel measurement,which is time and labor-consuming,and cannot well reflect the system-level propagation characteristics of the communication environment.With the development of artificial intelligence technologies,mobile communication channel prediction based on big data becomes an important direction in the future research,and ray tracing is an effective way to generate channel big data.Therefore,to meet the demand of channel big data,the software platform based on ray tracing as well as 5G millimeter wave and UAV channel modeling technologies are studied in this paper.The main contributions of this paper are summarized as follows:Firstly,a 3D ray tracing software platform was built,and a path searching algorithm was proposed to search the diffraction multipath efficiently.Secondly,combined with the measured channel data of 39 GHz in an outdoor microcell scenario,the channel matrix simulation was conducted by using our ray tracing software platform.The channel multipath parameters(multipath amplitude,delay,angle)and path loss under line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight conditions were compared,and the prediction of signal field strength coverage was realized.Finally,the shadowing effect of urban UAV was studied,and the path loss model of the UAV communication link was established for multiple buildings.Based on ray tracing technology and particle swarm algorithm,the location and moving trajectory of UAV base station are optimized,so as to maximize the field strength coverage in hot spots.In this paper,based on the coverage and deployment requirements of 5G millimeter wave and UAV network,the ray tracing software platform was built to realize millimeter wave wireless channel simulation.The 3D ray tracing technology was adopted to predict the field strength coverage and signal propagation characteristics of the wireless signal in millimeter wave microcell and UAV scenarios.Our developed software platform has significantly higher accuracy compared with traditional channel models,and will play an important role in 5G millimeter wave and UAV channel big data prediction,network design and planning.
