When an individual disclose their own private information to another person,to protect the privacy of information depends not only on themselves, but also depends on others.According to the theory of communication privacy management, this study refers to individuals who share their own private information as the original owners of the information, and individuals who are shared this private information as the co-owners of the information. At this time,it is necessary to consider the protection of the original owner's privacy by the co-owners.According to the theory of communication privacy management,in the process of protecting the original owner's privacy information, the co-owner will consider the factors related to the original owner and the factors related to co-owner himself.Factors related to the original owner include the negative consequences of information leakage to the original owner and whether to comply with the original owner's privacy protection requirements,self-related factors include the negative consequences of information leakage and the benefits of information leakage. The concept of information sensitivity is often used to express the negative impact of information leakage. The previous research on information sensitivity only focused on the original owner. No research has considered the information sensitivity of the co-owner,and no research has considered the protection of the original owner's privacy by the co-owner.Since it is very common for friends and other individuals with a certain kind of close relationship to share private information. Therefore, this study expands the scope of traditional information sensitivity research to include the sensitivity of both the original owner and the co-owner.Based on the communication privacy management theory, this study explores the motivation of co-owners to protect the privacy of the original owner. This study proposes 7 hypotheses to build a model, collects data through questionnaires, and uses SPSS and AMOS to analyze the data, and finally verifies the correctness of the hypothesis. This study shows that the factors that affect the co-owner's motivation to protect the original owner's privacy are the co-owners' information sensitivity and perceived pleasure, the original owner's information sensitivity and the co-owner's willingness to comply with the original owner's privacy protection requirements. In addition, the degree of the co-owner's information sensitivity and perceived pleasure on the co-owner's motivation to protect the original owner's privacy are related to the original owner's information sensitivity level. The higher the original owner's sensitivity level, the lower the co-owner's information sensitivity and perceived pleasure influencing on the outcome variable. This study draws the influencing factors of the co-owners' motivation to protect the original owner's privacy, which helps to improve the co-owners' awareness of the original owner's privacy protection.
