With the rapid development of satellite communication systems,radar systems,mobile communication systems and automobile artificial intelligence,microwave devices have been widely used and focused on.As a component of vital importance for signal transmission and attenuation,attenuator has been widely studied and attached importance.The reliability of attenuator will directly affect the lifetime and stability of the entire system.The reliability of the attenuator structure is mainly reflected in the stability of the contact between the reed inside the attenuator and the attenuation unit.The quality of contact will directly affect the contact resistance,which will affect the impedance matching of attenuator circuit,and will ultimately determine the reliability and authenticity of the attenuation signal.At the same time,the lifetime of the attenuator is directly affected by the lifetime of the attenuator structure,especially the reed.In this paper,a systematic and in-depth study,mainly in theoretical calculation and simulation analysis methods,of the structure and performance of a wideband coaxial step attenuator is made.Firstly,the failure mechanism of the attenuator is analyzed.The stress and strain of the internal structure of the wideband coaxial step attenuator is analyzed through theoretical mechanical model calculation and finite static structural simulation.Also,the contact pressure,state and reliability between the reed and the attenuation circuit are analyzed.At the same time,according to the demand of higher performance,the reed structure is optimized and improved.Then combined with the use of the wideband coaxial step attenuators,the dynamic performance of its structure is analyzed,and modal analysis and harmonious response analysis are performed.Structural fatigue is an important failure form of the reliability of a broadband coaxial step attenuator.The fatigue lifetime of the reed structure is theoretically calculated in this paper,and the fatigue lifetime of the reed under the same amplitude periodic load is calculated using N-code simulation software.The fatigue lifetime of the reed in the vibration environment is analyzed in combination with the power spectrum density of the road surface.Finally,a thermal analysis of the wideband coaxial step attenuator for high and low temperature application scenarios is performed to analyze the stress and strain of the structure and the reliability of the contact between the reed and the attenuation circuit at different temperatures.
