Evaluation Of The Copyright Value Of TV Dramas

In recent years,China's cultural industry has made great progress.With the upgrading of network technology and the further application of new media technologies,the TV drama industry,as a part of the cultural industry,has a wider growth space and plays an important role in the export of Chinese culture.At the same time,the "IP" TV series adapted from popular themes is an important part of the production and trading market of Chinese TV series.With the improvement of the TV drama market in China,the number of TV drama transactions and the total transaction volume have increased year by year.Therefore,how to establish and improve the TV drama copyright value evaluation system to further promote the transparent,efficient and healthy development of the TV drama industry,is an urgent task in the theory and practice of evaluation.This article is based on the fast-growing TV drama industry.Taking the phenomenon of "IP" adaptation as the starting point,this article selects the value of the broadcast rights in the copyright value of TV dramas,and uses a combination of empirical analysis and case analysis to study the evaluation of TV drama broadcast rights.And further explore how to improve the assessment of TV series copyright.The thesis focuses on the broadcast rights of TV dramas,including five parts to study the evaluation of TV drama broadcast rights.The first part is based on the development of the TV drama industry and the characteristics of the "IP" fever,introduces the research background and content of the thesis.And further sorts out relevant theories about copyright evaluation and TV drama copyright evaluation at home and abroad.The second part introduces the related concepts and theoretical basis.The third part discusses the applicability of the three methods,and discuss the use of the income method to assess television drama broadcasting rights.The fourth part based on the first-round income of TV drama broadcast rights income,selects variables such as "IP adaptation",director awards,team rating,actor popularity,production company and other variables,using a stepwise regression method to establish a forecast of the first round of TV drama income model.The fifth part selects suitable cases,applies the income method and TV show income model to specific cases,draws conclusions and analyzes inadequacy.TV drama copyright transactions have the characteristics of complexity,nontransparency,and inequality of benefits and costs.Therefore,neither the cost method nor the market method can be used to make a quantitative evaluation of TV drama copyrights.The multi-source feature of TV drama copyright income also makes it difficult to use the income method.This article selects TV drama broadcasting right as the core component of the value of TV drama copyright.It establishes a prediction model to quantify the revenue of broadcasting rights,and determines the income period and discount rate based on industry characteristics.And improve the income method evaluation path of the “IP” TV drama broadcasting rights,so as to provide realistic reference significance for improving the value evaluation of television drama copyright.
