Narrative Research On Animated News

The development of the short video industry is in full swing.Traditional media has followed the trend of integration to launch short video news.The form of short video news reports produced with the help of emerging media and emerging technologies has also affected the innovation and development of news narration from different levels.Animated News,as a short video news project of the Beijing News,has launched a series of news reports using animation technology to simulate and reproduce the entire news event process or key scenes,including: "3D reduction of the Daxing fire incident details: cold storage was on fire and lethal smoke spread from elevator shafts","3D reduction of what happened before the Ethiopian plane crashed accident","What are you most looking forward to at the Second Session of the Thirteenth National People's Congress?",and other typical reports.No matter what methods are used for news reporting,narrative ability is the core factor that determines the competitiveness of the media.Therefore,this article conducts narrative research on the animated news reports in the Beijing News' We Chat public account to explore the internal narrative rules of animated news works.Considering research methods,there are three methods which are text analysis,case study,and content analysis.Considering specific research objects,there are the news reports released by the Beijing News' We Chat public account from January 1st,2018 to November 30 th,2019.This article selects the news reports during this period as the research sample for data summary analysis.In the process of narrative research of the Beijing News,this article uses the narrative theory proposed by Mrs.Fang Yihua in "Introduction to News Narrative" as the research framework,analyzing from narrative voice to narrative perspective to narrative time to narrative structure.The narrative voice is discussed on the types of narrators and the characteristics of the narrator.The narrative perspective is discussed on three types and characteristics of narrative perspectives.The narrative time is discussed on the study of narrative timing and narrative duration.The narrative structure is discussed on three narrative forms and prominent features.Animated news of Beijing News has formed its own reporting characteristics and narrative strategies in the practical exploration of news narrative.Animated news focuses on the common narration of the absent and hidden narrators and objectively guides public opinions;the omniscient perspective leads the narrative advancement and creates an immersive reporting atmosphere;the organic combination of narrative time realizes the effective reorganization and retransmission of news facts;the structure is diverse,which strengthens the narrative story.But at the same time,the innovation of narrative means also violates the norms of journalism basic principles,including nature theory,ethics and so on.In the last part,this article analyzes the existing narrative problems of the animated news of Beijing News and puts forward some suggestions from the perspective of narratology to improve the narrative mode of the news,following the objective principle.This article hopes to provide some enlightenment for the healthy and orderly development of the mobile news industry and an innovative survey for the research of the mobile news from the perspective of narratology.
