excessive energy consumption and severe environmental pollution,but also promotes economic development by itself It also seems to be getting weaker and weaker.Seeking new economic growth points and creating new economic development models are one of the problems that China urgently needs to solve at present.Reading refers to the use of language to acquire information,understand the world,develop thinking,and gain aesthetic experience.The reading level of residents in a region can affect the cultural level,consumption level,and human capital level of the region,and then the level of economic path of economic development by residents 'reading level found that the improvement of residents' reading level mainly promotes economic development through two aspects.First of all,the improvement of residents' reading level can contribute to economic growth by promoting the formation of a knowledge economy,promoting technological progress,improving production efficiency,expanding investment scale,reducing unemployment,and improving economic operation efficiency,thereby promoting economic development.Secondly,the improvement of residents' reading level can be used to break through industrial barriers,increase the proportion of cultural industries,and optimize the allocation of resources to upgrade the industrial structure and promote economic development.Second,the reading level of Chinese residents has improved significantly in the 12 years from 2007 to 2018.Among them,China's adult national comprehensive reading rate increased from 68.6%in 2007 to 80.8%in 2018,an increase of 17.7843%,an average annual increase of 1.1%;China's adult national per capita reading volume increased from 4.88 in 2007 to 2018 7.99 copies,an increase of 63.7295%,an average annual increase of 0.28 copies.There has been a significant increase in both the reading rate and reading volume,which shows that the reading level of Chinese residents is rising.However,the retail sales per capita of Chinese residents vary greatly by region.Zhejiang Province,which has the highest retail sales per capita,has a retail sales per capita of 154.9516 yuan,while Qinghai Province has the lowest retail sales per capita.The retail value is only 20.5154 yuan,and the difference between the two regions is 134.4362 yuan.The retail value of per capita publications in Zhejiang Province is 7.55 times that of Qinghai Province.It can be seen that the reading gap between residents is still very obvious.In the choice of reading methods,more and more people tend to use digital reading methods.Third,through the analysis of the status quo of China's economic development,it is found that China's economic growth rate is very strong,but there are also large differences between regions of China's per capita GDP.For 2018,Beijing's per capita GDP has the highest per capita GDP.It is 140,211 yuan,and the per capita GDP of Gansu Province,which has the lowest per capita GDP,is only 31,336 yuan.The difference between the two regions is 108,875 yuan.The per capita GDP of Beijing is 4.47 times that of Gansu Province.It can be seen that the economic growth gap between the regions is also very obvious.Since the beginning of the new century,China's industrial structure has been significantly optimized in both the advanced and rationalized levels,which means that China's economic development model has been reasonably changed,and economic development is moving in a better and faster direction..Specifically,in the 12 years from 2007 to 2018,the advanced level of industrial structure increased by 4.9957%,and the rationalized level of industrial structure increased by 47.3203%.It should be noted that the level of industrial structure upgrade between different regions in China is very different,and the industrial structure in the southeast coastal area is significantly better than inland areas,especially in the western region,and this difference is further widened.trend.Fourth,based on the empirical analysis of time series of different reading methods,it can be found that the reading level of residents can have a significant impact on economic development.Specifically,the national comprehensive reading rate increased by 1%,the level of economic growth increased by 3.2891%,the advanced level of industrial structure increased by 0.1216%,and the level of rationalized industrial structure increased by 2.2519%;the per capita reading volume of national books increased by 1%,and the level of economic growth increased by 0.4646%,The level of rationalization of the industrial structure rose by 0.2817%.The impact of national paper books reading rate on economic growth,advanced industrial structure and rationalization of industrial structure is higher than the national digital reading rate,or even higher than the national comprehensive reading rate.This shows that in our country,traditional paper book reading is still the main driving force for economic development and social progress.Although digital reading methods have grown rapidly,the influence mechanisms of economic development have not yet been fully opened up.Fifth,based on the empirical analysis of panel data from 3 1 provinces and cities,it can be found that the improvement of residents' reading can also significantly promote China's economic development.In the sub-regional empirical research,it is found that there are regional differences in the role of residents 'reading in promoting economic development.The improvement of residents' reading levels can enhance the economic growth of the five economic zones in the northern coastal areas,the middle Yellow River,the middle Yangtze River,the southwest,and the northwest;Can improve the industrial structure of the five economic zones in the northern coastal areas,the southern coastal areas,the middle reaches of the Yellow River,the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,and the southwest;Rationalization level.The reading effect of residents on China's economic growth and advanced industrial structure is more obvious and wider than the rationalization of industrial structure,and there are large differences in the role mechanism and role size between different regions.
